So this arrived today ! Damn that WD !
3EFAF0AD-3665-4B74-AD2F-E6144F369CB9.jpeg

First up the CarLinkIt CarPlay adaptor. Connected fine, updated the drivers easily and it works really well. Connects quickly and seamlessly too, so far so good.

I’ve even ordered a 90 degree usb adaptor to make the install nice and neat like WD’s  which arrives later this week. Need to declutter the centre console to make it tidy in there before I can show off the blatantly copied set up of WD’s !

Secondly the OBD Link cable and Forscan. Not having the same success as the former with this one. Got the drivers all updated and the led light is now displaying orange not red. But on connecting to the car it’s just not connecting with the Forscan App.

I have (re)registered for the a ForScan account and awaiting an activation code so hoping this is the issue:please: and it will work when my account is activated.

I did register for an account previously but never got a response from the administrators so had tried again !

Managed to get the Forscan working today and did some initial tweaks, namely the following

1. Removed double horn beep warning alert when keys are removed from car whilst engine is running

2. Changed indicators to blink 6 times on short press from the 3 as standard.

3. Changed splash screen to GT500 Ford Performance logo

@WD Pro how did you enable the door auto locking on move off as I can’t find any details on the code to change this ?

I did, sorry for the poor quality screenshot but try this :

1612969559103.png

If I recall, I changed the standard value from E to F. Whatever the original value was, just make sure you keep all the same options other than turning the 'AC' option on.

Once done you will then have a button / switch on your digital dash to turn the option on or off as you please (if defaults to off when it boots for the first time after adding the feature). The option is in the same place as the 'auto unlock' option (or whatever the exact wording is called) in the digital dash menu.

Have you turned the diff temp on yet ?

Top man thank you for that . Re the Diff Temp no I haven’t done this either and not sure how to do thisas well.

Where are you getting the coding spreadsheet from as the one I found on here only relates to Mustangs and doesn’t list the auto lock or the Diff Temp. The list also hadn’t been updated for the later GT500 splash screen codes.

If you can point me in the right direction for the list you’re using I’d be really grateful, thanks

I have nothing with it all in one place sorry.

I started with the base spreadsheet from the ForScan thread and then due to the changes with the 2020 builds, I just collected the other bits as I went along. I had known for a while I would get the dongle so I had been taking notes as and when a mod caught my eye.

Diff gauge info is all in here : https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...no-oil-temp-on-digi-dash.148521/#post-3034634

The master ForScan thread (work backwards as its a monster ... lol) : https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/modifying-as-built-data-guide.61773/

I have still to suss out the Lincoln Grey theme, that's my next job for when the dongle is plugged in.

I would also like to suss out why we can turn the oil pressure gauge on, but it doesn't seem to work on RHD's : https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/question-for-the-2018-gt-rhd-owners.153725/#post-3134919

Hope that helps :like:

@WD Pro that’s super helpful thank you.
I was hoping this would all be in one easy to understand list, but it seems to be a collection of different spreadsheets vehicle specific from different sources. .
Years ago I had an Audi S5 and had the VAGCom cable whereby there was a easy to use website with all the codes in one place and regularly updated.

Found time today to play with the Coding again (Forscan).

Following WD’s helpful links I’ve managed to enable the rear axle temp

6FE1FB59-0BE9-45B1-927B-36987BA9A34E.jpeg

Autolock on drive off (over 12mph)

and Global Window close

One thing I would really like is for the wing mirrors to fold in locking the car and unfold on opening. I have managed to code this on other makes but cannot see any reference to this feature being enable on Forscan.

I have seen on eBay an aftermarket option which involves removing door cards and fitting new modules etc which looks a bit too much hassle / risk for my liking.

One minor niggle that’s always bugged me is that my Mustang comes with the Bang & Olufsen upgraded sound system yet the only nod to this in the car is a very discreet emblem on the top of the dash.

So I’ve treated the car to a couple of additional B&O badges to highlight this even option even more.

Nice ! I had been thinking of something similar, did you see this badge too ? :

Got so used to seeing the Shaker logo on my 16, I decided to fill in that blank space at the bottom of the console.

Link to b&o emblem

Then did black side mirror caps. Not sure on those yet, have to give it a week or 2.

I did see that style too but but preferred the ones I purchased as they looked better (in my mind) and the single colour (as opposed to the black and brushed stainless finish of the badge in your link) matches the OEM B&O logo on the dash better.

I’m quite pleased with the end result and adds a little bling to the poor quality door cards which is another thing that bugs me !

I treated myself to a set of genuine Ford Performance bonnet vents from the States which arrived today.
A82115DD-22B7-41A2-A935-9EC3B69CC53D.jpeg

I had the replica Roush vents which I had painted gloss black, but it the paint had started to peel. So this gave me the excuse to go for these even more aggressive looking vents which I really like the looks of.

I decided not to bother cleaning the car first as the neighbour is having so work done and my car is caked in dust so no point cleaning it at present ! So please excuse the dirty condition !!

Whilst I had the bonnet up I fitted this badge too

and whilst on the topic of badges I’ve added a new one to the rear too with the aim of tying all the Roush look together.

Did the global close work?
As I activated that also in Forscan but couldn't get it to close.
I thought it had the same issue as the Wing mirrors not having it's module.

Also there is a way of getting the gauges to show the actual value what it's currently at.
Rather than just showing Lowest to Highest value.
Have not found where the settings are yet.
