Mustang GT Project #2

So this happened today ! Out with the old and in with the new !

My new 69 plate GT arrived in Orange Fury ! Sad to see the red GT go as I got that to look exactly how I wanted but I’m very eager to get stuck into a new project again !

So this is how it sits on day one, only mods done at dealers were painted black roof, body stripe and front parking sensors. I’ll come back to the front sensors in due course but there is going to be an issue with my future plans !!

I thought it best to start a new thread to detail my journey and mods, enjoy...!

So not long after arriving out came the jack and the mods began!

First up was 25mm spaces all round fitted. They make such a visual difference. It’s booked in for lowering springs to be fitted later this year.

Next up was a quick mod as the light was starting to fade, I’ve swapped over the mirror caps to the Carbon Fibre ones I made myself.

The more black and carbon fibre accents I can add to this car the better it’s going to look I think.

I’ve got a busy weekend ahead of me in no small part due to Nemesis and their early Black Friday sale !

So this lot arrived today lots and lots of Roush parts !!!

Managed to sneak into the garage quickly to swap rear deck lid across.

Had to modify the aftermarket deck lid to remove a few redundant tabs but the Dremel made light work of that.

Apologies for the filthy car it’s too cold to wash it !

manual of course, can’t have one of them pesky 10 speed autos. It would drive me up the wall constantly changing gears !

I wanted Orange too but I wanted my car now. The only one they had in stock with Magneride was velocity blue. As it turns out I love the colour.

the car came with Custom pack 4 so has the forged wheels in silver.
I had the dealer powder coat them black because I too am going with black accents.

just ordered Anderson spoiler and Borla ATAK with carbon tips.

looking for somewhere to add a pair of black stripes.

Curious about your wing mirrors you made.
How did you do that. Is that your profession?
I am a hobby engineer so could might be able to handle something like that if it doesn’t need special equipment or training.

I will be watching this thread with interest.

just be careful of Nemesis mustang they will lull you in to a false sense of security with really good customer service and before you know it you’ve spent a fortune with them !

Joking apart I’m really impressed with Guy and his team and would recommend them if you’re after parts. !

just be careful of Nemesis mustang they will lull you in to a false sense of security with really good customer service and before you know it you’ve spent a fortune with them !

Joking apart I’m really impressed with Guy and his team and would recommend them if you’re after parts. !

I haven’t used them yet but probably will.
I can absolutely say the same for JW Racing though. Jason has been great to the point of exchanging messages with me on Facebook messenger and answering my questions late at night. plus some cracking deals that have led from me just asking about exhausts to buying cold air intake, throttle body, spoiler and perhaps a diffuser is on the cards too. On top of upgrading the exhaust to one with carbon fibre tips.

I’ve not used JW Racing yet but found Jason to be incredibly helpful
