I ended up trading in the HPP for far more money than I originally paid for it. I then got a basic version of a 2021 EcoBoost and am currently building it up to my preferences.

It looks like my old mustang hpp has changed dealer hands a couple of times. I found it for sale lol. Someone is taking a huge loss. I was given about 33k for it when I sold it.

How the build going ??

One thing i found out the hard way is the price listed on the site can have very little to do with what they will try and charge for it when u get down to the brass tacks!!

That Texas market is crazy.

I tried to buy a new, base model HPP, just like yours from Covert Ford. It was a 2020, with $2750 in rebates. The lowest they would go is $31,000, which would make them net $33750....mind you this is 6 weeks ago...

Was your car delivered yet?

Nope but its been built and i got the email last weekend saying its been shipped!!! So my journey gone something like this.

Ordered 7/23 original build date was something like 10/05 build date gets moved all over the place and finally settles on Nov01. Received email on 10/29 saying its been built. Get another on the Nov 1st saying its been shipped. Expected date at dealership 12 thru 18 of Nov.

So hoping to have Car before end of the month !

I have a question about the exhaust system. I want to keep the factory active mufflers and pipes and upgrade to a 3" downpipe. What are people doing for a 3" Y pipe to the factory tailpipes?

I went with the cvfab 3" catted DP on my 2020 HPP with Active Exhaust and it came with the 3" to 2.25" connector. Super easy install and a really nice DP. I also used a J style o2 spacer and the car has never thrown a CEL.

Yup. It then goes into the factory Y and resonator. Would be nice if someone made a 3 to 2.25 Y but I don't remember seeing that

I'd guess that the area after taking into account the cat material the 3" flow through is the same as a 2.25 open clear pipe.

Yes, but it's a nice transition and it's only for a short section. Could you have better flow without this? Of course. But, it's nice to be able to use the stock active exhaust with no mods. I also have a 3" x 3" elbow I put on when I'm running my Tomei exhaust.
