The main benefit of the Torsen is, No Clutches to wear out, In a straight line the TORSEN and LSD should perform the same,Okay, so assuming you are on a warm, dry and smooth piece of road and you are driving in a straight line, can anyone tell me why the LSD is better than a Torsen? I'm seriously confused.
I've DD'd Torsen LSDs for 8 years, with plenty of time on ice. Both tires spin, all the time, as long as they're on the ground. Torsen LSDs send the power to the tire with the grip, progressively. If one wheel is in the air or one on ice, the wheel in the air or the wheel on ice will spin and the car won't move.
This is essentially correct. It's a plate style LED and Traction-Lok is the Ford trade name they've used forever. It's the same basic design they've used forever, too. Ford Performance sells carbon fiber diff plates that are probably your best off-the-shelf option to increase lock. The other option is just sticking some sort of locker in it for drag use.Is Traction-Loc a type or brand of differential? I just assumed it's Fords marketing name for posi trac.
My 2019 non PP car with an A10 came with 3.55 gears stock.
Do you have a part number or a link? All I can find are for the 8.8 not the 8.8 super.Ford Performance sells carbon fiber diff plates
I don't. I can tell you the diff plates in my 3.15 plates are the same as they've used forever. It might be worth popping the cover off one of those higher(numerically) ratio models and taking a look. I'm going to be very surprised if they've changed the diff internals.Do you have a part number or a link? All I can find are for the 8.8 not the 8.8 super.
