Hi All,

does the UK Mustang come with a Torsen or Track-Loc LSD? I have just changed the oil for a 75w90 LS Synthetic and trying to work out if i need to add friction modifier to it?

As far as I know, the Trac-Loc is only used with the 3.15 axle ratio.

All Euro cars have the Trak Lok to my knowledge.
Does that mean they all have the 3.15 axle ratio or that the Euro cars use the Trac-Lok with all gearing options?

Trac-Loks come with all the gear ratios except for 3.73. All US cars with 3.15, 3.31 and 3.55 have Trac Loks.

There are 3.55 Torsens on the PP1 auto cars; manuals have 3.73 Torsens. To the OP, if your car is not a PP1, it's not going to have a Torsen anywhere in the world. Don't know if there are other options besides 'Trac-lok'.

Not exactly, my Eco is a 3.55 with a Torsen.

I know the Torsen fits in a 3.31 ring gear (even if it doesn't come with that combo stock), but it doesn't physically work with a 3.15.

EU Mustangs both manual and auto are born with Track-Lock 3.55. there is no pp1 or pp2 option - the EU is a mix and performance wise we are not really able to choose anything. Only cosmetics and apperance

That is the 2018+ but I'm pretty sure it is the same on 2015-2017

Should have put an asterisk with "does not apply to HPP eco".
Bottom line - vast majority of diffs on S550 out there are Traklocs.

Even the U.K. Mach 1 is getting a trac loc ...

Unless Ford fitted the wrong diff on a batch of cars (wouldn’t put it past them ... lol) no U.K. spec cars got the Torsen as standard :like:
