Yea didn't see the drifting part lol. Personally I feel the hand brake on this car is very weak. Although I haven't seen a solution for that anywhere, even on previous gen mustangs.

Wow so much help I love the mod section already! Thanks guys. Tint is a must have that I can't decide on what percentage yet. I like an all rounded tint and not darker in other areas in the back then lighter in the front. The problem for me is that i live in davis california, the city where cops put on sirens to chase teens on bikes without their helmet :)). And I hate the popos. I was thinking 50% all around to get that nice sun heat block with a dark tone that wouldn't trip out cops.

For the installation of exhaust, I'm not lazy but I don't have a garage or any friends who have one either:( i actually live in an apartment with very little room outside the parking area. Finding a good parking spot to avoid scratches is already a pain T.T

The white Led lights for interior and trunk, backup light, switch turn signals is also a mod I will do because of the price is very affordable and brings so much value to me. I always hated the ugly yellow lights.

So far quad exhaust, tint 50%, Led upgrade are definately top must have atm. Whats next? Is the cold air intake or suspension more suitable for drifting? Sorry about being dumb I really don't know anything about theses two mods and their price range but I see alot of people suggest. Thanks all again I am going to order the first 3 items soon. And yea the push start button from our forum member is also a must have just because its less than 10 bucks and looks badass

Well that's round two about drifting. Soooo let me help you there....

First a power adder like a supercharger or turbo is a requirement.... Period..all drift cars (exception ae86) are 500+ whp beasts. My buddies 240 sits around 800whp and weight about 2400lbs to give you an idea.

Next suspension. Unfortunately no one makes what you need for the mustang. To get the stearing angle you will need requires a ton of parts for the front end that no one has made..

Just stick to donuts and using your line lock. To accomplish that much more loudly just buy IHE.

For me, axlebacks for sound, and headers/tune for power. They are a must have on any Mustang. We have some great Mustang6G deals, so when you decide to get your parts, call us @ 443-730-9428 for the hookup!

You need absolutely nothing to drift this car around town... power-adders, suspension, more steering angle, is all pro-level stuff you don't need to worry about.
I used to "drift" the crap outta my 1979 Camaro with its emissions choked 170 if I was lucky horsepower. All it had was a factory LSD and a 3speed auto slushbox. And shoot, when I first started driving I could drift my dad's work van. You want to learn to drift? Spend a day at a golf course in a golf cart and throw those suckers sideways while flooring the go pedal in the grass...then bother with sliding your $30k+ car around.

First mod is to go to a local Driver's Education event at a nearby road course... Porsche Club groups are usually the cheapest weekend to run. Spend $300, drive with a real instructor all out on a race track all weekend long, and that will be the best thing you've ever done in your life with cars coming along.
Most tracks will even have a little circle or figure 8 area you can drift around til your heart's content, to learn the car limits and break-away characteristics.

When you do get around to modding your car, definitely do as much yourself as suggested here... learn the mechanics of the vehicle getting you around. You can youtube and google-fu your way through just about any mod you want to tackle on this car.

If this is your first car I would get to know it before trying to slide it around. Its a lot of power for a new driver so before adding any mods I would do like theman suggested and learn basic road course driving to sharpen up your skills.

then the next mod I would buy is a $2500 240sx to slide around bc it will tear up your brand new mustang.

Just, no.

The dudes not trying out for Formula D or ProAm or doing reverse entries.

The mustang makes MORE than enough torque to spin the car around corners. Just have to know how to do it. Hell me and my buddies slide their single slammer 240s that make 200hp on a good day.

Just get to learn the car OP. I'd get a tune to help with throttle response, though.

Apparently today the mod bug really hit lol...tried to order an MGW shifter but apparently they don't like AE credit cards, so that will have to wait for now. Did however order BMR's Diff Lockout and UPR's Catch Can. I really want something to fiddle with haha.

Still gotta install my cradle lockout as well.

Nothing beats a nice sounding V8...That said get a cheap catback- Gibson and go have fun at a car control clinic.
