Have your start up adjusted in the tune, don't limit start up spark and reduce RPM adders for cold starts. This will get you quite cold starts since you will idle the engine like a warm one.

I don't know why there's so much resistance to this question. Some people want the added benefits of a full exhaust, and it's well documented that keeping the S550 quiet with long tubes is a tall order.

OP, just do what I did, I've already proven that you CAN have the best of both worlds, rowdy when you're up it but quiet on start up. It'll take some thought on modifying to fit your quad tips, but I can tell you that my Corsa Xtreme is louder than yours at cold start, but with my DIY mufflers is as quiet as stock.

Another thought is that there has been development on retrofitting the 2018 active mufflers to the 2015-17 cars. You won’t have the integration with the Gauge cluster, but Ford’s or any other active muffler offering may help in addition to an adjustment in tune.

YOU are the one who made your car as loud as it is.... RIGHT?

Were the elderly neighbors not a concern then? Were the gaggle of babies you are waking at 0530hrs not a thought THEN?

What IS STUPID is adding this shit on your vehicle and then being shocked that its "so loud " that it is likely pissing your neighbors off.

Here is the constructive advice you are seeking.... ready?

Do not make your vehicle loud if you do not want it loud.... and...….

Search button works wonders for those who make that error and want to "muffle
" their self chosen obnoxious exhaust.
Interesting development...

I am doing Vibrant 1794's on mine Thursday to try to chill this obnoxious Corsa front to back catless set up I had installed last week...

If these do not do the trick, I may look into the MF reso.

This thread is just what I was looking for. My tuner won't adjust the cold start, so I need an alternative solution. My cold start is BRUTAL. Louder than I've ever heard on ANY other car. It sucks!

Yeah.. and?

I wasn't shocked... just figured I'd be cool with the volume, which I am not.

Not because of neighbors but because it SOUNDS LIKE SHIT.

Thanks for caring LOL
Sounds pretty stupid to make your car so loud it sounds like shit.

Maybe practice what you preach next time, and don't be a hypocrite.

That ain't loud. Loud is when you are running open headers

I made something a couple years ago, have served me well and several people have made them off the back of my instructions. Not pretty, but they never were intended to leave the garage lol

If you want the ingredients list I can supply

Would you mind sharing how you made those? This is exactly what I'm looking for. It looks like a 5" to 4" coupling, 4" PVC, and do you fill it with steel wool or something like that? I was planning to run some exhaust hose to my factory mufflers on cold starts, but this looks a lot easier to use and cheaper, the exhaust hose is expensive.

I'm going to make and market my own catback. It will include a FTN model... (F The Neighbors)
That should be FUN (F U Neighbours) - much better from a marketing perspective
