I just picked up a 2015 Roush RS2 6 speed with a SC on it. The shifting isnt all that smooth and i been looking all over about the fluids people are using and i see many different answers. i see alot of the fluids used though are bascially a 75-90w fluid like amsoil and the BG fluid. Im a big fan of Torco RTF as i used it in a acura transmission i had years ago and did wonders for the Notchiness the transmission had. Has anyone ran Torco RTF in their MT82, its a 75-90w transmission fluid that meets GL-6. i reached out to Torco themselves and they said it would be suitable for the transmission. Just curious if anyone has used it? i

No experience with Torco...I run BG Syncro Shift II 75w-80. It will keep things running well, but that alone will not fix all notchiness/rough shifts, rpm lockouts, etc...Stock shifter just has too much slop. You'll need an aftermarket shifter if you want to really solve all those problems or at least a shifter to transmission bracket to tighten things up.

So Torco got back to me and they got with a high performance shop that does mustangs they deal with in their area in California . They told me they prefer their gl-6 synthetic gear oil 75-90w 2quarts and 1 of royal purple Synchromesh.. does anyone have an opinion on that ?

The MT-82 Trans spec is DCTF. Any reason why you wouldn’t consider a high quality DCTF fluid such as Motul Multi-DCTF ?

I'm a big fan of Torco since their fluid exceeds gl-5 and 6 .....plus they actually use group 4 and 5 synthetic base oils ..just a very high quality oil

Torco’s good stuff no question about it.

Think over the Witchcraft cocktail sauces, don’t dismiss the Torco DCTF fluids available to use, Torco lists Ford/Getrag in their DCTF Product Data Sheet.
You’ll want the Ford trans fill out, the Ford supplement additive is hard on bronze components.

I’ve used synchromesh in my T56 with great success and I’m about to throw it in my MT82
