You're wasting wifi dude... And if you posted that on your phone away from home, you're wasting data.

Sticker is a funny dude... Gotta give the man props. Ain't no swaying that brutha. He's definitely from another mutha.
I give you a A+ on your patience with some of the people on this thread...youre a better man than me. I would join this thread and tell Sticker what I think of his comments but I do not want to get kicked off.

P.S. lets all agree to disagree on this subject.....

Please explain why this GT350 offering will be different than any of the other Shelby and SVT products. There were no shortages of any of those. Exactly why will the GT350 be different? You seem to only be capable of throwing personal attacks when asked this question.

C'mon man, is that all you got? Surely you got more fire than that...:eyebulge:

Serious, Sticker... You never contribute anything positive man. You argue numbers when people here have told you multiple times as to why your theory is busted. Yet, in return, instead of acknowledging logical information and factual statements regarding the limited production of these vehicles, you continue to lurk/troll about, nagging people on to argumentative discussion which is not healthy for the forum as a whole.

If you are looking to incite an argument you won't get it here from me. You really gonna stick to that historical archive argument from the 2007 GT500? Smh... :frusty::doh::crazy:

I guess I should have said, "There will be between 4,000 and 5,000 2016s produced - as Ford has said consistently (and personally to me as recently as yesterday) ... " - although I don't think that would matter at all to the nattering nabobs of negativity here. :tsk: I have never seen an automobile forum that is populated by such a dedicated group of downers, dude.

OK, I understand. The GT350 will be different for no reason that anyone can state other than it is going to be different. you would have to wonder how many people at that point will never actually be able to purchase a GT350 due to the fact that
Ford did not build enough of them to satisfy every willing and able customer.

This will be a huge divergence from Fords track record over the past decade or so with SE Mustangs. Interesting that things will change so significantly for no valid or verifiable reason other than hype from retailers. I could be totally wrong here and some of you have nailed. We shall certainly see with the passage of time.

Hope there will be enough to go around as there always has been as I am really excited about getting one somewhere in the not to distant future. I envy you guys who have one inbound soon. The IRS and normally aspirated power is a welcome change for the Shelby.

Remember when the 2007 GT500 came to market. The rumor was two years production only and ADM's were everywhere ....now 40,000+ GT500's later and that is not limited production.
Is it wise to pay a ADM ?

If the allocations remain, then dealers in wealthy markets will keep an ADM on the car. They will be limited in the number they can sell and will therefore want to get as much as they can for each one, and there is little incentive to move them quickly because they won't be able to get more.

If the allocations go away, and the dealers can order as many as they want, then they have incentive to move as many as they can because they can always get more. That is when ADM will go away.

Of course there are markets where even with limited allocation a dealer may let the car go for MSRP or with a minimal markup, but as many are finding out, those deals are difficult to find.

Again for the 100th time here:

IF IF IF IF

No one knows, period. There could be 5,000 each year for only 2 years or 20,000 built next year. WE HAVE NO IDEA.

If you want to risk no getting one and they actually stay limited, that's your choice. If $5k is worth getting one at all then pay it and get one now guaranteed.

Too many IFs going on around here based on the past and assuming the past will influence the present.

Think about the lightning. A lot of this has to do with the region. Ex: Texas usually includes a nice ADM not just due to the demand but also due to the pesos running around here. Local dealers wanted 10k over sticker and got it for every one they could get. I did my work and actually got X-Plan in Georgia.
With this being the new toy, it will be harder to get MSRP. Give it 6 months and see where we're at.

For me, I think I'm going to fork over the 5k extra. I don't want to, but in the end its my choice and I want this car! If only I could get an R for 5k over. Anyone?

I have a question for all the guys claiming this car isn't a Limited Production car. Have you even attempted to order one?

There will be only one answer to solve this perpetuating argument... time.

I don't think Jim Owens and staff can give a total number at this point, but I do believe they can forecast desired production goals, and they have. Multiple members have heard the same story from their lips, except one member who states there will ONLY be 180 R cars for 2016.

500-750 R's is exclusive, but 180 is absolutely crazy exclusive. I personally don't see that happening.

I have no experience buying a Shelby of any flavor; this is my first. However, having purchased dozens of specialty cars and having worked in and around the automotive industry for many years, when I'm told by someone who's involved in the process (a company executive, not a dealer) that the plan is to build 4,000-5,000 2016 GT350s, that's a number I have to trust. I'm absolutely unwilling to accept numbers from anyone who says "Well, in the past, this happened, so it has to happen again" or "I know that won't happen because the little green aliens told me so on my last trip to Mars." Ford has never engineered and built this type of car, so it's a totally new and different situation for everyone. Do I think the numbers will change? No. Could the numbers change? Yes.

Only time will give us the answer, and at this point, I have the answer I need. And probably what's strangest of all is that I couldn't care less how many 2016 GT350s Ford builds. I only want one of them, because it just happens to be exactly the fun, second car I want to be driving at this stage of my life.

Word from local dealer. "$25k or more" markup...

I was kinda in the market to pay $5k over....but now I don't even feel like doing that..just out of spite.

Checked my area. Only one dealer had a GT350 allocation left. They were asking $5k over sticker. One dealer said he has the most allocations in the state 4 GT350's and 1 R. Which sounds right since they sell more Mustangs than anyone in the state. He said he could only get Ford to accept one of those orders. Mentioned Fords ordering system would error out in the midst of placing an order. Anyhow they said when the official ordering guide came out they received 200 phone calls in two days and 120 emails. Crazy!
