You're right sticker. Sorry to get personal. We clearly agree to disagree.

While I think they would sell 10k units without incentives in 2016 as the demand is clearly very high and that is without any comparison testing yet. But again that would be poor brand management. It serves them far better to keep their current halo car in high demand by limiting production of a high desired model. It serves them better because they will sell 10's of thousands more Mustangs with that dynamic at play. End of the day they succeed by having excitement in their model line and selling more units increasing profits. The Mustang was the 18th top seller in the country last I heard. Watch for the July-Sept results. I bet they jump. The GT350 shows what the S550 platform is capable of. Same reason the other manufacturers build their halo cars. Z28, Hellcat, etc

Chrysler is selling as many hellcats as it can build. They also put the hellcat into the Charger and will put it into their Jeep. It is already proven that Halo doesn't have to be limited.

I realize it's been said already here (as has everything - over and over ad nauseam), but it's all just theories right now.

1. Ford could limit numbers enough that it will be difficult for most to get a GT350 at MSRP.
2. Ford could make many thousands and they could end up sitting on dealer lots being sold at or under MSRP.
3. Ford could make another Mustang in the next couple years that most of us end up wanting way more than the GT350 and people who buy the GT350 might regret their decision.

NONE OF US KNOW FOR SURE WHAT WILL HAPPEN. So to me it's just an individual decision what you want to do. I certainly see both sides of this.

I agree with cjgt350 that Ford gets a lot more from the GT350 than selling GT350s. . . and it's not even just Mustangs. I think all Fords can get a lift from an amazing car like this. If Ford comes out with some other really great Mustang versions in the next couple years that will help even more. I think limited production cars increase people's desire for the brand, whether they buy the car or not.

They stopped accepting orders at 9,000 and have already publicly warned dealers they will not be able to fill the orders. Turns out the dealers could place orders in the system beyond their allocations. They soon put an end to that. Applaud Ford at least for not learning that lesson the hard way. So not true there are always limiting factors in production of specialized vehicles. In this case it is the engine being hand assembled and dynoed before release as a production choke point. From what I can tell they have produced 4,500ish 2015 Hellcats whether 2 or 4 dr. But hey Challenger sales are up 27%. The ADM's on those are crazy as well. That in itself becomes a limiting factor. A local dealer wants $85K for a Hellcat Charger. I really struggle with understanding that. Crazy.

I'm trying to understand what Jim Owens stated as being described as a theory? Is there a belief he is trying to mislead us? I would have to believe Ford has a S550 life cycle plan for which they will follow to include limited production vehicles.

C'mon man, is that all you got? Surely you got more fire than that...:eyebulge:

Serious, Sticker... You never contribute anything positive man. You argue numbers when people here have told you multiple times as to why your theory is busted. Yet, in return, instead of acknowledging logical information and factual statements regarding the limited production of these vehicles, you continue to lurk/troll about, nagging people on to argumentative discussion which is not healthy for the forum as a whole.

If you are looking to incite an argument you won't get it here from me. You really gonna stick to that historical archive argument from the 2007 GT500? Smh... :frusty::doh::crazy:

No seriously dude, who told you otherwise..? Who told you there was going to be a few hundred 2016 GT350s ..?

These engines have signatures on them, they will make 5k of them a year & they are not going to sit in a warehouse, but in garages. Wake up and stop spreading your own personal ignorance.

All of which are nice theories but the fact remains that I got my 2016 Shelby GT350 contracted at MSRP. I don't really need to be concerned with production numbers and ADMs. I just wanted one Shelby GT350 at MSRP and I got it. I wish the rest of you good luck with your search.

Really?!

This engine is going to the track, not just garages. I watched the modern day version of the SCCA TA series yesterday and a Mustang won the pole, and a mustang won the race. They are trying hard to revive that series. Betcha next year this engine is there.

As for numbers... I never said anything about a "few hundred 2016 GT350s". Work that out... Get back to me Monday.

What I posted about the Hellcat is NOT a theory so I am not following. It is fact and posted all over the web with Dodge execs as the sources. I am sure they are regretting how they handled their program stating they will produce as many as ordered. Small issue when you can't mass produce what you promised. Geesh. And I have my R ordered. Thanks and Congrats to you

It seems you and I have been misunderstood here. I plainly saw where you stated fact... I plainly saw where I stated fact, and another member even verified it. But as to why others must argue facts with opinions is beyond me.

What say we just let sleeping dogs lie and not work up ourselves over some simple incomprehensions?

Not at all. Whether it eventually will be easy to get a GT350 at MSRP is the thing that is anyone's guess.
