Seems to be a flood of battery questions here lately. My battery in my 16 is on its way out. its a Duralast gold from 2018. Every start maybe its last at almost 8 years. I've been pondering on batteries for week or so. I was just going with another standard battery and ran across the Motorcraft AGM. Battery Ford shows it's for the 5.2s. I have not seen any chatter about these on here. Whats the hives thoughts.

I just changed mine out, put in the Motorcraft 96R. Same as Stock Battery. Ford is selling them right now for $199.95 with a 3 yr replacement or $149.95 with a 2 yr

Sorry, actually the tested tough plus is $149.95. I went with the tested tough max at $199.95.

More money, but Odyssey AGM I'd argue is the best battery you can buy. They have a 96R.
I bought the odyssey 96r for my 2017 this summer.

It recently sat for 2wks and then was flatlined when I needed to take it to get tires done.

Charged it back up on the trickle charger and my tester still says it's dead.

Car won't run for 5min on accessory mode playing a song before it shuts itself off to conserve battery.

AutoZone people tried to argue with me this morning because their tester says it's good. Put some load on it people. It's not.

Getting a replacement later this morning under warranty.
