I replaced the factory battery in my 2015 GT this week (yes, the original lasted 6.5 years and was still going at 40k miles).

I decided to go with a Motorcraft AGM battery (#BAGM96R). Does anyone have any experience with this model?

When I was pricing things out, I found this one on RockAuto for about $160, and figured that was a deal for AGM. Even though it was not listed for use with the 2015 Mustang, it was listed on parts.ford.com as an option.

So far so good. I changed the battery type in ForScan and reset the BMS.

Seems like the op isn't around anymore; has anyone else used this battery? I just randomly found it on Walmart's website. This is the only post I can find about it on here. Google has lots of results, but none with reviews. I also find it strange every site says it wont fit the Mustang but its a 96R and has the right dimensions.

Seems like a good deal compared to the Odyssey.

Maybe because you have to go into the settings and change battery type. it isn't listed for use in. As most people expect to be able to remove one battery and install the other and go.
It seems the o/p had to change settings using forscan , the car didn't do it automaticly. This would be a reason not to list it for use in x vehicle I would think.

From my understanding, you are supposed to reset the BMS whenever you change the battery as it adapts to an aging battery. I can see Ford saying its not for the Mustang, but I wonder why other sites dont list it. Plenty of them list other 96R AGM batteries as compatible with the Mustang.

Just seems odd that this battery exist (RockAuto has it in stock for $158) yet I cant really find anyone that has used it.
