I wonder if the Royal Purple 5W-30 was a bit too thin for a long track run where the oil gets pretty hot. Might consider using a 0W-40 or 5W-50 next time.Looks like Oil starvation from HIGH-G + HIGH RPM + HIGH HEAT = two spun rod bearings.
Do you have an oil temperature gauge on your car? If so, what was the max oil temperature seen?
