Hi,
I have a 2015 Mustang EcoBoost with 87K miles. After getting hit by a car from behind (rear center), rear bumper was damaged and passenger side exhaust pipe (Flowmaster 4" OD, 3" ID) got bended and went underneath the bumper. After taking the car from damage inspection without repair, the car started to make strange kettle whistle noise every time I hit the gas and check engine light started to light. I understand EcoBoost engines usually makes a turbo noise, but this one was different. Remote start also stopped working and there is a light gas smell inside. OBDII scan results gave three error codes: P0171, P059F, P0446.
Can you advise what would be a possible reason?
Thanks.

No.

Take it to a shop and get it properly repaired. People here can't diagnose your car over the internet.

595 is a active grill shutter code.
My WAG for the other two is something EVAP related was damaged in the accident.
You should get off the keyboard and get hands and eyes on and under the car
As said, you're not going to get specific repair help on the internet for those kinds of codes.

Thanks, Dave!
After inspecting the car, I noticed the grille is partially blocked from top, so I believe that is the potential reason of P059F.
Regarding P0171 and P0446, I agree it should be EVAP related, as EVAP canister is located near the damage area (rear center). I checked underneath, didn't notice any damage to EVAP canister. Will check further and keep you posted.

I inspected further and the leakage is coming from that connection.

I am not familiar at all with the ecoboost engine, but is that your fucking exhaust manifold?

If your car was rear ended hard enough to push your entire exhaust pipe all the way forward and under your bumper, there is a good chance it broke something up front as well. And if there is a gap there in between the manifold and exhaust pipe then a lot of stuff has bent, now you have an exhaust leak causing that lean condition.

That's the turbo to catalytic converter connection. That leak will absolutely cause lean codes.
You need to hope really hard it's just loose bolts. The cat runs about $1600 and a turbo another $500 or so plus instalation.
