Guys, I haven't managed to get through all 68 pages of this thread sorry.
Simple question.
Is it possible to change the steering assistance?
I realise we can do it via the toggle, but what I'm talking about is making ALL of those settings heavier.
Anyone?
That would be very nice as well.

Also any word if the auto-off timer for the rear defrost can be changed?

That would be great to make the steering even heavier, as sport does not feel very sporty or heavy at all and comfort is stupid light, normal is more like what comfort should be.

Doesn't that make it more difficult to see brake lights and stop lights come on?
not at all. I was referring to the my color setting on the cluster (Speedo and Tac). on the premium when you hit up at reline on the tac the gauges change from what ever color you have them set to red, well I have mine set to red (Cluster and ambient lighting) so if I were to say go up to redline the cluster stays the same since its already set on red.
but having red cluster doesn't effect my view or ability to see the lights on the road in front of me.

I knew what you were talking about.

I tried red on a long night drive because it's the easiest color on your eyes (less fatigue). I just couldn't stand all that red in front of me. Made me want to stop.

FWIW, for the most part, the only options that can be changed with as-built modifications are options or variations of an option that are available on other Ford vehicles. There are a few mods that can be made to disable a feature that's not standard on any other vehicle, but you will not be able to add an option that doesn't exist on any other Ford/Lincoln vehicle.

With that said, not every function that's available on another vehicle can be enabled and functional on every other car (Lincoln approach detection for example) even though the modifications can be made to the as-built data, simply because the hardware does not support it.

Try to keep this in mind while digging through looking for things that can be changed. It's much more realistic to look for a way to enable line lock on an EB car than it is to enable ride control by modifying as-built data.

With that said, if anyone in CFL needs some programming help, shoot me a PM :)

Actually the tack color turns to red and the needle on the speedo glows brighter at redline. I have video from my dyno run, but cannot figure out how to embed it here.

Anybody figured the block of the BCM for the toggles on premium models? Looking for the hazard toggle specifically

that should be a pretty simple one to figure out really. Run ForScan with the hazard lights turned off, save the configuration. Run it again with the hazards turned on, save the configuration. Load both configs in the as-built data comparison tool that can be found online, and find out what changed.

Curious as to what you're trying to modify though with the hazard lights???

Thanks for your advice, I already figured it out.

so basically I installed Sync 3 with a premium bezel on my V6, and the hazard lights toggle was acting as the base button i.e. if the hazards were on then they wouldn't go off if you put the toggle down (you had to put it up twice to turn it off)

So just FYI the toggle is in the BCM block 29-02

Still digging to get MyColor to work on the base IPC!

Has anyone seen this??? It looks like with a recent update to ForScan, you can now edit modules directly and easily without changing bits manually. You can set things like the powerpoint timeout in seconds and the axle ratio in a readable format instead of calculating the hex value by hand. This is what the BCM module looks like, I just disabled my fog light DRLs and disabled the seat belt reminder, neither of which I think anyone here has done yet since it is not in the excel spreadsheet, and did several other mods which were already in the spreadsheet. You guys may want to check out the new version if you have not seen these yet.

Yeah I noticed it about 2 weeks ago. My first time using it. I assumed it was always there.

Also, just so you guys know, there is a Line Lock setting in the IPC module. Someone might want to try enabling that since I have not seen that yet.

Those options have been there for a while, they come from those that experiment and find things that consistently work. The guys who make the program just put them in a list to make it easier for those that are a little afraid of modifying code.

Line lock option has been there for a whe, and only works on the export GT without the option. It only enables it in the IPC, and if you enable the one under the ABS module it gives an error for advancetrac in the IPC after you write it.

Trust me I wish it were that simple...
