Modifying As-Built Data Guide

So guys it seems that I will be the first non-US who will try something about these mods I'm still waiting for my OBDlink MX but I'm really interested in this!

My personal #1 mod would be Enable the honk\double honk when locking\unlocking the car via the keyfob. EU version (but probably all export Mustangs) has it disabled, but when I was travelling USA I used this feature a lot to find my car on the mall parking

Also Fog lights on with high beam would be nice, even if I never use fog lights..

as far as I can tell, it's only disabled in the States due to bs legal reasons or something.

(this was referring to windows global close) it's also disabled in export markets :(

US version doesnt, but looking at a couple of EU review versions, it looks like they are off (Look at the you tube video I post a page or two back), unless they are dim, and the angle makes it look like its off.

I can assure you that all export markets mustangs don't have tribars. The led boards and drivers are simply missing. We had to make new boards and fit them inside the headlights.
Fun that someone wants to shut them off.. for us it's a feature that immediately identifies the Mustang (so exotic here!) but you probably have so many of these that you need to differentiate a bit

A few modifications I hope are found...

Enable driver seat exit movement for cars without seat memory feature

This would not happen because memory seats has many dedicated parts (even inside wing mirrors!) and without them all I don't think you can activate it.

It's just a convenience thing. I actually wish I could disable the sensor on the door handle. I end up touching it a lot when I'm detailing it. To each his own.

You can simply leave your key at a distance

I believe it's not possible since US and Export have different wiring harness that goes to the taillights. US has one wire for each bar, Export has one wire for all three bars together. They are phisically different.
For having sequential in our EU cars we had to add a new driver in the middle that get the turn signal from the ECU and output a sequential signal for the three bars - we of course have modified our taillights to include three amber bars beside three red bars.

Yes, but I am in the US, trying to eliminate the sequential for the single amber bar.

Ah, like the way you think, or default to Sports mode at start up!

How about cruise control always engaged? I hate to have to turn it on every time then press set.

How about a way to make the climate control system start immediately, rather then the delayed start bull ut does now?

I hate to temper expectations, but it seems as though for the majority of this stuff spanning across Ford's other models - unless Ford's engineers set up a feature for other markets, other trim levels, or were just sussing it out before getting shut down by Ford's lawyers or whatever - it's not going to be possible to enable something by just changing a setting. You're talking about wholesale reprogramming of modules at that point, there's a major difference.

This is already possible on Sync 2 (MyFord Touch/MFT) with a change... haven't gotten it to work on Sync 3.

Subscribing. I might be interested in getting rid of the door close honk when the key is outside of the vehicle. It seems, if I'm reading correctly, remote start in a M/T isn't possible, but which module would be missing?

Two questions:
- Would it be possible to have the amber markers and tail lamps come on any time the vehicle is running with the headlamp switch in Auto?
- Would this software work for a 2008 F250 to modify the As-Built data and finally get RKE enabled if I compare the data to an XLT?

I read on another forum if you change 7D0-01-02 first bit 00 to 04 you could enable navigation on SYNC2 systems. Then all you need is the A7 SD card. Anyone try this?

In the APIM as built a few lines down you will see 5553, change it to 5753. I discovered this when comparing to a Russian vehicle.

This will unlock the keyboard in motion, be safe and use at your own risk. Don't use it at a dumb time lol.

You will lose a few things doing this: Vehicle health reports, Sirius Travel Link, and maybe something else. But you can always change the code back if it's an issue for you.

Not true, also need a license file. Useless without it.

Just modified some of the files in my car to remove the double horn honk, allow high beams and fogs, and fogs stay on with the turn signal. Thanks all for posting this!

It took me the longest time to go in and save all the stock as built files from my car on all the modules. I also connected a battery tender while messing around with Forscan just in case.

I am also interested in enabling actual gauges in the center display for oil pressure and temp instead of low, normal and high it displays now. Do the PP cars actually display a numerical oil pressure in the center display between the gauges? I have been comparing some as built files but I am unsure about this.
