That's exactly what I was going to ask. Ha ha. Mine is not, so need to work on that before attempting anything.

Can you do other stuff, like read codes? Is your car being recognized? You got to be missing something. Oooooooh, you know what it could be? Read of a bunch of issues over the F-150 forum with their latest version. I downloaded one prior to the 'problematic' one, but don' remember which one. When I download the new license I'll check. And let you know which one I have, and if I had any trouble.

By the way, the super knowledgeable guy over that forum is working on a Mustang spreadsheet, so hopefully we'll have more options. The version here doesn't have many options that I had with my F-150, like 'quick boot' of Sync3, and others.

Hardware question for Forscan users:

Will one of the newer Samsung Chromebooks be sufficient to use for Forscan updates in conjunction with the OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner?

The reason I ask is I’m an Apple products consumer. I don’t have any current “PC” platform to use as a transferring agent for As Built changes or tinkering. I just have Apple mobile devices (iPhone and iPad) on most current iOS (ver 13) and my MacBook Pro that is running on most recent version of Catalina OS....

So I was looking for an inexpensive “throw around” PC platform that is small for portability and also on the most current MS Win OS system.

Thanks for any suggestions.
Im using CrossOver and found a hack to alter their 14 day trial using PlistEditPro. I actually found a video on tube with step by step how to change the trial length I added 5 years to it. lol you can then use windows based programs on the Mac. and its free. just a couple downloads.

I would be interested in a link to the video to change the trial length.

Yes. Forscan reads codes, none present and it reads all the modules and asks me to flip the toggle switch, and the rest show up. But when I attempt to open the as-built data to make a change of any module, Forscan takes a dump. As I said, I had no problems last year and I have not updated Forscan. Just the license file. Tried the latest version and still have the same issue. I will play with some more this evening.

I tried again today using Forscan 2.3.33 beta. Still unable to get into the as built data fields. What version are you guys using? Maybe my ELM died over the winter?

Nevermind. I feel completely stupid at the moment. It was working all along, I was just using the ELM toggle switch in the wrong positions! OMG :facepalm::facepalm:

Ha ha. I probably would have done the same thing, if it wasn't that I wrote on my programming list, in prominent letters: 'MS CAN - UP; HS CAN - DOWN'. Forgot we had to deal with that stupid switch, or I'd have told you :). Sorry. But glad it worked. Now let us know which changes you made, if they worked, and how you liked them. I'm going to risk adding some not mentioned on this forum, and see what happens. But I'm most curious about the fake sound one; when it's doing it. Thx.

Has anyone found the EPAS settings and is there a way to adjust via Forscan?

Hey guys, got no answers from my post (#2921). The most important is WHICH SPREADSHEET you're using for the info. May I ask from which post # did you get it? I was expecting to find it on post #1, but that wasn't the case. Just to see which one has the most trusted data for my 2019 Mustang (Bullitt). Messing with the modules shouldn't be taken lightly :D. Thank you.

CobraJet: What exactly do you want to adjust on the EPAS? Doesn't your car already have 3 steering modes? Or are you talking about something else, like 'pull-drift compensation'? I don't believe our cars have that, by the way, for what I could feel (my 2018 Platinum truck had it). Just curious.

The EPAS configs vary between model platforms - such as GT PP, GT PP2, EB, EB PP and the Shelby’s. Looking for someone with Forscan knowledge to find where those As Built settings are (which module) and what can be changed to say match that of the GT PP2 or Shelby’s.
