Has anyone used this rotating assembly and is it any good wanted to make around 1600 to 1800. If this isn’t the best kit any recommendations?

It's a start to a kit, that would then need to be professionally balanced and blueprinted, and assembled into a block.

I think you would be better off with a complete engine that is built professionally. Maybe a Ford crate Coyote, or the MMR Gen X 302X Billet Coyote Crate Engine.

Hard to beat the aluminator short block options for the price.

A ford crate wouldn’t be rated for more then 1000 and a billet 302x is 30+k I’d rather get a rpg short block at that point

I honestly don't care. The point is to buy something ready-to-go, unless you yourself have an engine-building shop where you can balance, blue-print, line-hone, etc.

Ya an rpg or ffre shortblock might be a good option. Ill let someone else comment on what they think of the kit. Also at this hp might look into sleeving the block.

As far as MMR the company it’s hit or miss on some things, in general they are pretty knowledgeable but I don’t like how many issues they have had with their opg.

Rotating assembly’s are pre balanced and the block would have to go get sleeved anyway

If you're looking to make really big power in a reliable package, just go with a reputable builder like FFRE, TKM, RPG, etc since they have legit programs so you don't have to deal with the homework and headaches.

I’ve built 2 350s when I worked for my local race team when I was younger. Doesn’t change the fact the block would be sent off to be sleeved and that’s why rotating assembly’s are a thing their pre balanced

It's your money, spend it as you see fit.

It should be balanced. I'd ask up front then I would weigh all the parts. the tough thing to check is the crank. Who knows if they balanced it for the reciprocating weights. If they had to add metal it is easy to see.

But you run into this with a fully built short block too. Did they really balance it?
