Mixing Suspension Part Brands

I am looking to upgrade the OEM PP1 sway bars to a set of bigger ones.

My current setup is the Ford Performance GT350 lowering springs. I was originally going to use the Ford Performance Sway Bars for Magneride cars. Unfortunately most vendors are on back order till December 2026. I’m now thinking of using BMR’s adjustable bars. Will there be any harm with mix match of brands of lowering springs and sway bars?

I actually placed an order with Levittown for the same reason, but they told me the same thing that I was on back order. I’m not sure what is going on with FP manufacturing. Had the same issue last year for their lowering springs.

Steeda also makes nice sway bars. I have their rear paired with BMR rear drag springs and KellTrack double adjustable inverted shocks. Up front I have factory struts and springs and a sway bar delete.

My Bullitt has Magneride as well, but I made DIY sensor deletes for the rear. I say all of that to say, that’s about as mixed/matched for suspension as you can get.

What made you want to delete the rear sensors? I had the struts/shocks replaced at 65K miles due to leaking. Doing a Magneride delete was something I was looking into at the time.

I deleted them because I switched to the KellTrac shocks which are non Magneride. I initially ran Shock Delete Engineering sensor deletes, but they worked intermittently and I still got the speed restricted to 80 MPH, so I made my own and haven’t has a speed restriction ever since.

It won't physically hurt anything, but the Ford stuff is designed to work with the Ford stuff, Steeda, BMR, H&R, etc....So the rates of the springs compliment the sway bars.

Unless you are tracking the car, I am sure it will all be just fine mixing brands. Not ideal, but not the worst thing.

FYI for all, unless a Vendor has it on their shelf, here is the Current ship to dealer date. This isn't written in stone and can move up or be pushed back.

I would argue its often more ideal to mix brands.


Spec matter on suspension parts, the brand name or paint color doesnt matter.

Steeda (for example) has many different soring sets and swaybar options, so brand alone doesnt guarantee you get a combo thats ideal.

Swaybars specifically aftermarket adjustable ones are indeed adjustable so you have flexibility to set them up for your car and tastes.

What is your motiastion for sway bars? I assume those who either autocross or track their cars know why they need them as they mostly matter in situations beyond traction limits.

p.s. I ve got po1 as well and wonder what I do when it is time for new shocks.

Surprised I could not find a clear and comolete gt350 susp swap guide. I'd go for a tested and proven solution.
