Won’t give you too much shit, but why would you respond with an overweight, underpowered competitor on a Mustang site? I suspect he’s like most (some?) of us and he’s on here because he likes Ford products?
Calling those cars underpowered is ridiculous. IMO you shouldn't have to ask about either the 350 or the Bullitt. Either they're special to you or they're not.

None in your list.

Go for the GT PP2, you’ll be satisfied whether you’re going to daily drive it or track it. Check out the very large PP2 thread on this site - there’s plenty of satisfied owners - and even 1 or two who also own a GT350 along with a PP2 who have given it really good reviews.

Very senseless to get the PP2 and those tires if it's never going to hit the track. Better off getting a MagneRide car and getting your own wheels and tires if the look of the shoes is what one is going for.

And the ZF8 transmission in the big Mopars is just hilarious. That thing bangs gears harder than I would bang Elizabeth Hurley.

I'm gonna get absolutely shit and a half for this especially because it's a Mustang forum but have you considered a Challenger RT Scat Pack or an SRT392? My reasoning is because of the no tracking or racing part. I'm getting the feeling you want a nice comfy fast street brawler.
I have to admit while I love my Mustang this is the route I would go if I could do it again.

And they're holding value insanely well. It's ridiculous how much a used '16 Charger or Challenger Scat Pack costs right now with reasonable miles.

I couldn't come up with a configuration that had all of what I wanted, so I never looked too closely at the Dodges.

My left knee made the decision about the Shelby & Bullitt for me. Even if I could the Bullitt is still way overpriced vs a GT. Unless its history really means something to you or you really love the color a well equipped GT would serve the bill for a lot less cash. Mine is a street cruiser so I went with looks (GT/CS) over performance (PP1/2). The Shelby is, well a Shelby. if it calls you, nothing else matters, go for it. No real knowledge of the Roush, but 460HP is more than enough for me.

I would recommend getting a GT spec'ed the way you want in the color you want. If you do get a bullitt strictly for resale value then get a black one, there are less of them so they will be worth more in the future.

I've decided to do it. Saved my pennies and saved my dimes but not to buy a 409. My list in no particular order is:
2018 Roush Jackhammer (warranty ? from Ford ?)
2018 Shelby GT350 (oil usage ?)
2019 Bullitt (am I buying name and badges ?)
or: order a 2019 GT premium with automatic, 3:55 gear, exhaust mode, and 19" tires forgoing PP1 or 2.
I realize a GT is far off from the above 3.
No tracking or racing just want a performance car.
Value your thoughts before I decide.
Mustang GT LFP800 from Lebanon Ford in OH, built any way you like. 3yr/36k drivetrain warranty from Whipple. Faster than all listed above for less cash. Never regret the wasted money on a gimmicky Bullitt, slower Shelby or over priced blinged Roush.

I would go with a base Mustang before getting a Challenger. A couple friends at work have various models and they have them pretty much for the classic muscle car look and are not overly thrilled with the driving dynamics. They look great and can go fast as hell (cat) in a straight line, but if you want a equally great looking car, basically as fast and can eat it up in the corners, get a Mustang. Based on your description you would be wasting your money on anything beyond a base model of either brand unless you are getting it for looks or bragging rights. In the end though, both brands/models will provide you lots of fun I just think the Mustang is a better all around vehicle.

And just went through and configured a '19 Scat Pack (the SRT392 isn't a sub model anymore, everything has been looped into the RT line and into the Scat Pack options). For the money, I'd so rather have a Charger RT Scat Pack for a street car. In MY opinion anyway.

A GT with the pp1 on the street is a great performer all around (straight line and handling). As long as you do not need every option they are a great value proposition. I’m sure Ford will start blowing out these 19’s any day now with discounts/rebates etc.

I can't believe how many people are recommending the Challenger lol. I love the look but I would never buy a Chrysler product, especially if you plan to keep the car for a long time. In case you've been living under a rock, they are notoriously the worst built cars of the past ~30 years. And this is coming from someone who grew up with 4 of them in my family.

Regardless, a Mustang is way more fun to drive than the Challenger and you don't need to be on a racetrack to notice that.

To the OP, it sounds like a 2019 GT PP1 with your desired options would fit you perfectly.
