Looking at getting ether an 18 or 19 mustang. What I am trying to figure out is what exactly do I want. I am looking at ether getting a few opition mustang and the RTR stage two or get a fully loaded GT premium with PP1(I want a auto). I will probably have to order because I want the 19 in green.

^^^ I take it you never owned a Mustang GT in GHIG. (that's 'gotta have it green' -- the official color name --). What an attention 'gitter' that color was....both good and bad if you get my meaning.

As for the RTR package vs premium dilemma? From the writings on the RTR, it's just another dressed up aftermarket spin on a Mustang with a jacked up price. Most of the mods can be had from AM's website if not all of them. A few suspension changes, a tire/wheel swap, oh and of course the typical custom body kit from where all of these aftermarket series cars originate. You can't have a signature series car without a body kit to bolt onto it.

Spend a little extra. Buy the premium. Then use the difference in the 12000 you didn't spin on the RTR to make the premium your own. You can emulate the RTR through AM for about half to a third of the RTR 12,000 dollar mark up if you choose...........and/or make it a car that reflects you.

The mustang order was going to be a Premium regardless of the RTR.

With that said, someone has finally broken down what I need to know. Which is it worth paying the 12 up charge for the RTR. When in reality I could find most of the parts myself.

Next question I had is upgrade struts or doing coil overs. The goal in my build is to get the smoothest ride possible.

Black cars are boring IMO. Anyone can go down to a dealer a get a black. There are only like 6 nation wide 19s in green right now.

Then leave the suspension stock. RTR Stage 1 or PP1 will have firm rides, not the smoothest possible. If you want smooth, just go without either the RTR or PP1. Also, the tires have a lot to do with it. Low-profile Summer Only UHP tires do not provide a smooth ride.

I was thinking PP1 with magneride. But for 4K cant you go aftermarket for less and get the same effect?

My thoughts exactly. Coil over systems are generally designed to improve handling, weight transfer, and/or ride height. I have yet to read of one that seeks to improve smoothness over a factory ride. If smoothness is what you desire may I suggest a well maintained 93-98 Lincoln Mark VIII? I had a 94. It was the smoothest riding car I ever had. And what a sleeper for its time. Plus it was the first DOHC engine used by Ford.

Not looking for a boat lol. The stock ride is fine. I do want to lower it without compremising ride quality.

That's not really possible. Any lowering lessens suspension travel and bump absorption abilities, so you'll lose ride comfort by lowering.

PP1 isn't really lowered, but it's firm. And the wheels/tires have a lot to do with that. I don't have Magneride, but others are saying it's a great system. Test-drive to see if you will like it.

A Premium GT with regular suspension should be quite smooth and quiet, but you lose on the performance side of things.

Are the roads shit in Hawaii?

FWIW, I just finished a book on the Pearl Harbor attack, it was really great. Interesting to read about Hawaii.
