Since when did the US Military provide a spec for the MGW shifter?
You don't know what military spec means I guess. MGW has been making precision parts for the US government for years and that requires parts to be completely interchangeable and built to exacting standards. Got it?

I have a question about people with Barton AND MGW.

I've read on other posts that some of the barton guys are buying some sort of bracket, AFTER the purchase of the barton shifter. What is this bracket, and is the goal to reduce noise? I'm looking for a one stop deal, buy the thing and install. Would appreciate any honest feedback.

Nothing compares to the MGW. I assume vendors do not like MGW because you can only buy it from MGW themselves.

Also, if you live near their shop in Georgia, they will install it for you for free.

Can't beat that.

Agreed. When you compare both head to head....MGW is clearly superior.

A must have mod IMO

Does the Barton bracket work with the stock shifter (allow mounting of the stock shifter directly to the transmission)

Does the MGW retain the reverse camera function?

I don't really feel a need for shorter shifts, but the high RPM lockouts and inconsistent feel can get annoying...

I went with Barton for the pull up reverse and because I did not want the vibration from a trans mounted shifter. It's a excellent unit and I am satisfied with it.
