I was in this same debate about a month ago

When you look at both shifters, I went with MGW because it does not retain any of the OEM components, like Barton does.

I've had it for a couple weeks now and I couldn't be happier.

You'll be happy either way...happier with MGW:thumbsup:

MGW is as good as it gets when it comes to shifters. I know I have installed about 4 of them and they are built to military spec. All aluminum is anodized billet, all steel is stainless, any bushings are designed for heat expansion. I've had one on my '05 for about 8-9 years and plan on one for my '15

Since when did the US Military provide a spec for the MGW shifter?

I believe they use a mil spec anodizing process if that is what you are referring to?

Depends if you want push down or pull up lockout for reverse too

My shifter is stock, what do you mean? Both Barton and MGW are different on push/pull for reverse?
Yep. Barton retains the pull-up for reverse design whereas mgw switches it to push down reverse
