Mine is a DD and I went with procharger. It doesn't build power instantly fit more gradually which I believe is better for the street. I know spinning your tires sounds fun, but it gets old especially if it's a dd. I also went procharger because I love the sound it makes and the fit is really good. I have more than enough power and I probably won't upgrade anytime soon.

No, I'm with you. Roasting tires is not really all that much fun. Gets old fast. My 92 Notch was a monster and a bit unruly actually. A smooth, linear power band is probably best for the street like you said.

What are the benefits (if any) of the Magnuson over the Paxton/Vortex units? It's my understanding that the Magnuson may deliver more lower RPM torque/hp over the Paxton type blowers. The reason I ask is this...... As a "daily" type driving car will the Paxton not perform as well since it needs more RPMs to develope its power? I mean if you are not going at WOT, will the Paxton still feel like it's adding hp and torque?
You didn't say our system...

But I can tell you that even with a centrifugal OH YES YOU CAN FEEL IT>

Remember boost, timing, and fuel octane are all related.

Just because you put 10psi of boost into a car down low.
Doesn't mean you can run the same timing numbers as a Centrifugal SC

So thus the power bands, are a LOT closer then most would ever consider.

I like the sound of jets, i had a tial 50 mm bov in my previous car! Sounds like your taking off, the whine of pd's sounds like they're struggling to make power even though they are not! But for me, turbos sound the best!

with a centri, there is no spooling when you go wot, you go wot, you have boost,

half throttle it won't make the boost a pd does, but at wot, it kills, check out some of our vids on instagram daily driving out mid 8 second centri car.....

I have the Paxton and it's great for daily driving and then going out to the track and running 9 second passes. Can't go wrong with the Paxton and the drive ability is great my wife even enjoys driving it.

How are the PD superchargers in the summer time, in the southern states? Does the air-water system get hot ? Let's say you make a 20-minute drive in stop & go traffic. Rush hour traffic, etc. How hot does the water get? I am assuming it will get as hot as the engine coolant.

I live in the south. Arkansas with a good bit of humidity. I kept and keep flip flopping from PD blower to twin turbo to single turbo to Centri. Why? I am thinking of the street runs AFTER i turn it up. If i turn up the wick on a PD blower (smaller pulley and built motor) on the street, I don't think i will have much traction. I've had three turbo cars in the past. One mild, one medium build and one extreme. I was not fond of the boost leaks and boost creep issues. Then there is the expense before getting fuel right.

That said i am really thinking of a centri set up, Paxton/Vortech, with torque booster to be exact this time. Again, this is after turning up the wick. I don't want to have so much torque off the line that i blow the tires off and struggle for traction just trying to launch. The centri set ups i see have the fuel included.
