Magnaride damper ride quality

Ordered gt with performance package and forgot magnaride option. Big difference in ride quality? Have to go back and rewrite order. Screwed up!

You'd think that for $6500 that is the Performance pack, they would throw in the Magnaride. Another 2 grand? Sheesh.

"Rough" is a matter of taste. However, the ability to tailor the ride to the situation is immensely valuable. My wife isn't a fan of sport mode on a rough surface and prefers I keep it in normal at those times, but when we're on something twisty she far prefers that I flip up to sport to keep the body lean down in the corners (too much lean bothers her hip).

Worth every penny.

I wouldn’t saw rough but definitely rougher and less comfortable. The mag ride is Cadillac smooth in normal mode on a non-smooth surface.

The Magneride is fantastic. If you can still amend your order, do it. You won't regret it.
It's as comfortable as a limo in normal mode, while in sport it keeps your wheels stuck to the road like super glue. The standard suspension isn't bad by any means, but Magneride is in a different league.
I do agree, though, that's it a bit too expensive for a car that's already pricey to begin with.

My pp1 with mag ride is exactly what I picture a mark viii successor to be. It's comfy when it needs to be, you won't regret it.

Thank you gentleman. You have convinced me to order it and I think I might be able to change it Monday. It was late Saturday when I was at the dealer. My wife at the time kept asking if there was anything else to add and I forgot. Just had prostate surgery and am still out to lunch. Oh well %*&^ happens!

I think if it not scheduled for build you can still change the order. Once its scheduled its locked

Do your best to go back and add Magneride. There's a reason the top handling and riding cars in the world are using it.

We can thank Corvette engineers for it.

Agreed! I wouldn't have bought without Magneride. Plus, it is key to my ability to drive my wife anywhere in my car.

Considering my last two cars had adaptive dampers , there was no way I was going to go backwards when purchasing my new 2020 Mustang. Magneride was a must have. Love it! Comfort mode with the baby in the back back seat, race mode on the solo Sunday twisty run.

That is how this car is being purchased. Saying goodbye to a 2013 C6 for trade in. Awesome looking Great car. This forum is super. It actually is a real forum! I have a general magna ride question. I selected it as an option on the car i ordered. The closest i have ever had to something like magna ride was an 88TC. That car you could set the suspension to auto or on a firm mode. When you had it in auto and went WOT it would automatically firm the car up. Does the magna ride change its profile under WOT in normal mode or is each mode just kinda what it is in that mode. For what its worth, while fun, i found the TC a little unpredictable in auto mode and preferred leaving it in the firm mode all the time…. So i hope magna ride is predictable for what ever mode its in at the time. If that makes since?
