So
Save your money until the Mach 1 comes out. If you like it more than what you currently have, then buy it. If not, mod it. Sounds to me though that what you really want is a GT350, in which case the Mach 1 or your current car most likely won't do it for you.
You nailed what I will be doing. Waiting to see what the Mach 1 has to offer. With that all 3 options will be on the table and go from there. Hearing the different point of views is great to hear and gives me different perspectives. Honestly I am shocked I did not get the "PUT A BLOWER ON YOUR CAR" yet. Although technically in the cards if I wanted.

I say find a lightly used GT350 and buy that. Save the money up front, you won't need mods or a tune to have incredible handling, better power to weight ratio than a GT, awesome brakes, better engine sound.. the list goes on.

PUT A BLOWER ON YOUR CAR!!!

When I bought my s550, I was tossed up between a GT and modding it, and a GT350. I went with an '18 PP1 car and did a bunch of suspension and handling upgrades, exhaust, wheels and tires, and a Whipple Gen5. The car was fun until it got totaled (not my fault). Having the chance to do it again, I picked up a GT350 and realized that I had made a mistake buying the GT the first time around. Definitely going to add boost to it though just to make it more awesome.

Generally speaking on mods some forged lightweight wheels, Steeda brakes, CFDS, GT350R springs, some chassis mods, possibly rear seat removal, E85 tune. Already have Roush x pipe, intake and tune combo. Basically as you can see a bit more power and dropping 75-100 pounds(without removing creature comforts. There are some other things as well. I said 10k as a rough number but could be 12k or 9k or whatever. If I decided to get a GT350 or Mach 1 I would do almost nothing to the car save for forged wheels and maybe drop it a hair... Basically keep it very close to stock. There really is no right answer just different directions with pros and cons to both. I DO though kick myself a bit as in 2003 I bought a GT for a great deal although the Mach 1 was what I REALLY wanted. None the less I enjoyed the GT.. Same sitch now with the 350 and the Mach or make the GT my own flavor of what I want. And the money part of "You could make X car WAY FASTER and handle better for cheaper" is not the point. As they say you could go get a nice foxbody for 10k and drop 40k into it and smoke anything. It does not mean that is the best solution although maybe for some. The wife and I are looking into some track events in the future as well. I DD my cars as well. And DD meaning 12k plus miles a year. I buy them to drive them if that changes opinions. Thanks!
I’d say supercharger for that car. Now, if you like some fancy looking car like the 350 or Mach, it’s up to you of course. Your money and whatever car you like. I think they’re all good looking cars.

I do not understand what you are trying to accomplish with this thread. You wanted a GT350. You bought a PP2 because you got a great price. OK, so far so good. But you had buyers remorse for not getting what you wanted in the first place. Now you're doing the exact same thing.

Here's the deal. 2020 is the last year for the GT350. It will most likely be the end of this car with the 5.2 Voodoo. I'm sure the Mach 1 is going to be awesome. But it will be a GT with an added package. No matter how good it is, it will always be a GT. It will never be a Shelby

Damn it Brent, you know what you want. Do not listen to us, listen to yourself. Go get yourself a GT350 and never look back.

Lol!! Thanks. No I would never do what a forum told me to do. I was just getting points of view from others. I have the PP2 and will continue to love it for another year or so and then go from there. I don't though have "regret" as I love my car and am happy with it now and would be for a long time. Just thinking. Thanks everyone.
