Look at the Dark Horse, it seems Ford extended the front bumper forward a bit. Seems to have a longer nose.

I can concur the S650 is a bit longer in general. I have one in my garage right now (GT PP Convertible) and I have a wood block on the floor for the front tire. The nose sticks out further, and my garage door is closer in the rear... Not much but I did notice it.

From an appearance perspective the Mach 1 all day. (Mainly the HP VERSION)

both trims have special/exclusive
Wheels
Paint
Body elements
Color
Livery/graphics

in my opinion the Mach just did all that better in a way that stands out a bit more.

when you compare to the trims below each the Mach just ups the ante and gives you more car where I really feel the dark horse isn't that much better looking then a GT.
🤷🏻‍♂️

I like the looks of both. And really, the styling cues that distinguish them from GT’s and Eco’s isn’t all that different. Both are different at the nose end of the car, both have different wheel options than the GT’s/Eco’s and both have spoiler options that differ from the GT’s and Eco’s.

From a pure looks perspective, I’d probably take the Mach. Performance-wise, it’s a toss up for me.

Mach 1 seven days a week and twice on Sundays. Now, IF a Mach 1 wasn't an option, I would take the Dark Horse over a new/current gen Corvette because thru my lens, the Corvette looks like they combined the front half of one car with the back half of another. It just doesn't seem together visually. But, back on topic... For a "parts bin" car, the Mach 1 is pretty dang stunning compared to a DH.

650 looks like they took the 550 body and some kid in the design meeting took some playdough and put an accord front end on it. I used to think the rear end wasn't so bad, but it just looks too forced. Maybe Elon designed this when he was in 3rd grade designing the cyber truck?

The whole premise of the S650 is simply “How do we take the S550, and make it worse?”. They could have just done a refresh like 2018. Gen 4 Coyote, minimal exterior changes, good quality screen with a digital dash, better quality materials and an unlocked ECU. That’s it. It wasn’t rocket science, yet somehow they just dropped the ball.

I think they tried to follow Corvette's lead in trying to make it look as "Exotic" as possible. To me, the c8 was another failure. Where Mustang went the way of the Honda Accord, Corvette went the way of an Acura.

I just bought a Mach 1 over Dark Horse because lets face it - Dark Horses are dime a dozen out there.

I actually think Ford tried to make the S650 a combination of a Camaro, Challenger, Supra and F82. Just keep a Mustang a Mustang with updates. Instead they forced the Mustang buyers to look at Supras and BMWs. It’s not rocket science, but then again Jim Farley’s Ford is a mess.
