Hello Mach 1 Team,
I have had my 2017 GT since 2019. Its been an awesome car and ive modified the heck out of it. Making 800+Wheel on E85. It is a 6R80 Automatic. This was the first automatic mustang ive ever owned and I bought it because at the time almost 7 years ago I was doing a lot of drag racing. Well fast forward through COVID and all the other changes 2 of the 3 local tracks have closed up and ive barely drag race it at all anymore. I love my car but I have been kind of missing driving a fun MANUAL car. Ive always loved Mach 1s since they came out, so I am beginning my research on possibly selling my 2017 for a Mach 1. My biggest thing is I like my cars to have ALL THE OPTIONS, you know fully loaded and top of the line. What do they call this package on the newer Mach 1s? How does everyone like the Manual Transmission on their Machs? I hear its a great transmission.

You want a 700A with handling package and the elite package. Other options on top of that depend upon your preferences: appearance package (FJG paint & orange trim), voice navigation, recaro seats (lose heated and cooled), and rear seat delete. Add those extras on and you'll have the most expensive Mach 1.

Everyone loves the tremec. They can be a little notchy, especially when new, but not bad. I cannot imagine getting the Mach 1 w/o the tremec.

When you have an auto, you miss a manual. When you have a manual you miss the fast shifting from stop lights.

The seats are something I am definitely on the fence about. I really love my heated and cooled seats in my 2017. Not sure if I can give those up. Definitely no rear seat delete either because my sons cruise with me to car shows. Thanks for the good info though! So I want 700A and Elite package at a minimum.

My biggest downside of the Tremec is not being able to use remote start and keep A/C on if I want to go inside a store or restaurant and leave my dog in the car.

And handling package. (Technically it’s loaded without, but if you’re spending this money get it)

I will tell you, that 6R80 is probably the best automatic ever in a Mustang.

If you grab one without Recaros you can keep the heated and cooled seats! Also a good call I think to go without the rear seat delete anyhow. It can be added very easily, but to add rear seats to a car with the option is actually pretty involved.

Yep it is a great transmission. Car is fast as heck, but the last few years I just cruise back roads or go to cars and coffee, etc. I feel like a manual would be more fun for this.

I had a 13 GT with the 6 spd auto and loved it, specially after test driving a 14 GT with the manual; I just hated the clutch. Now I have a 19 GT PP2 with the manual and I like it a lot, but I miss the automatic.
Good luck finding the Mach 1 you're looking for.

If on the fence I recommend not going Recaro or rear seat delete. It's easier to add Recaro's to a car that heated and cooled seats if you change your mind. And it's easy to delete the rear seats, but factory cars besides having no seats do not have seat belt hardware. They may not even be threaded for hardware is my understanding which I needed for my Schroth 4pt harness.

Attached are some references for the 21-23 Model Years; they list each of the options available. Color selection would be one of the biggest differences between years, some hues being one year only. Otherwise, there were no significant changes from one year to the next.

I've been using manuals since I've been driving. The Tremec has been great; I'm glad I selected it.

I would consider my '23 M1 fully loaded with "most" options (MSRP was close to $68K) - but I do have the Tremec - and I love it. I also have the leather Recaro's as well. I really did want the heated and cooled "Ford" seats, but to be honest, having to manually adjust and no heat - or cool - is non issue for me. Longest drive so far non stop - was 300+ miles on a hot day (I did briefly stop for fuel) and both my wife and I agree the Recaro's are very comfortable and interior seat heat was not an issue, but we do live in the upper Midwest. Also the leather Recaro's look great !!!

I love the Recaros. Drove 24 hours straight with them and felt fine after!

Mine is a 700a Elite with the Tremec. Heated and cooled seats, all the options minus the HP, Rear seat delete and Recaro's.. Not a HP car but dressed and fixed both with all the Ford body bits and aftermarket to make it pretty equivalent. I LOVE the Tremec. Did the MGW shifter and it made it 1000 percent better too..
