If you could, would you buy a Mach 1 A10 and mod it (supercharger, make it a handling pack with bigger tires and aero) and save some coin or buy a GT500 a car you would never mod?
Mach 1 has the coolers and is badged as a Mach 1 so let's not start with a base GT.

GT500 and it isn't even close. If I want a stick, then 350 or Mach. I think the complaint that 480hp isn't enough is ridiculous.

The 480 is the projected HP anyway. My guess it will land at about 490 maybe 495. I don't think they will get 500. Maybe but I think not.

If u could get the Mach 1 in a A10 with the track package it would be interesting but they did the same thing to us again, u couldn’t get the PP2 with a A10 either

Fords stupid because guys would order that, but to compare a A10 to the DCT, not even close

GT500 all the way.

By the time you buy the Mach and properly supercharge it, you're within spitting distance of the 500 in terms of cost. Factory warranty on 760HP plus the DCT tips the balance even further.

Best bang for the buck is to buy a base GT and go nuts.

My question is should I buy a new Mach 1 versus a used GT350. You can buy a good 350 in the low-to-mid 40s........ Any thoughts?

I owned a GT350. Simply an amazing car. If a 6 speed is what you want, you won't beat the GT350. More HP, better brakes, and unique motor vs the Mach 1.

The Mach 1 w/ handling package and A10 with FBOs and E85 will be a fairly formidable machine, esp. on the street, and look awesome all the while. But a stock Shelby GT500 will still be faster around a track and accelerate harder even though it's heavier, and look even better (IMO).

I agree Idaho but unfortunately the Mach 1 handling package will only be offered with a 6 speed.

Kind of makes me question Fords logic

GT350 if for no other reason the depreciation has already been absorbed and it's available for purchase 'today'. I'm assuming you're talking about 'MY17 or MY18 right? The Mach1 is what the PP2 should have been from day 1 but Ford was too damn cheap and blind/oblivious to consumer preferences to equip it properly. If Ford prices the Mach1 north of 53k then it absolutely no contest, GT350.

I already bought a Mach 1 back in 2019. It has this weird 'bar' emblem and says Camaro on the side, though. $38,500 including 4% tax (MSRP 45,000) and equipped with Recaro leather-ish seats, '301a' trim, active exhaust, TR3160, 3 extra coolers, front splitter, 3 level Magneride, electronic-locking diff, and 5 levels of computer-aided power and stability assist for track work. Ford doesn't even have the last 3 sophisticated options let alone offering them on the Shelby much less inferior models.

So that's the price target Ford has to hit or else they're full-on delusional.
