Mach 1 HP wheels

As was mentioned in another topic, Ford Performance now has a set of Mach 1 HP wheels with center caps and TPMS sensors for $1300. Pretty unbeliavable. That is a huge difference compared to (discounted) $3300 for just 4 OEM wheels in Levittown.

It almost seems too good to be true doesn’t it? That far below Levittowns pricing? Are they blems? The wrong color? Are they round? lol
I think I’ll order another set and I don’t even know why. That seems like a really good price.

@Mikepol2 I guess we can conclude the HP wheels are not the reason for production delays don’t you think? Not if they are selling them in sets like this

If you read the description, it says “each”. $1,300 a wheel unfortunately. They are not a cheap wheel.

I wonder, does one need to take particular care when mounting them on non-HP Mach 1? (It says in the description that the non-HP (or non-PP2) cards might have a clearing problem.)

The other thought which came up (and might be totally wrong, so if someone knows, let me know), would it be "necessary" to mount the front and rear spoiler as well, to increase the downforce on the wheels? The idea is that the wider tyres (which should be fitted on HP rims) would need higher downforce to ensure the same friction as non-HP tyres and rims would have. Otherwise it might be easier to get a spinning wheels with the HP wheels.

if it were that good of a deal, it would be a real part number. That’s all I’m saying. I’ve looked them up for the group Before. Just under $5k for the set.

These are the Ford Performance wheels, not OEM wheels. My guess is these HP wheels are probably a different color. If you tried to order the GT350/GT500 spoiler from your Ford dealer, it was like $1,200. Ford Performance sells one for $600. Same with the PP2 wheels, try to buy the exact wheels from a dealer, and they were expensive as all hell. Much cheaper to buy the Ford Performance versions. I will agree, this price seems to good to be true.

When I use the link I get a set of 4 for that price. Shipping weight adds up to 4 as well. I think you’re on to something with the part number not working. Probably the same guy who setup the build & price for the Mach 1 did this website lol

Hey @Jay at Granger can you verify what Ford officially calls the color of the HP wheels? These are called dark tarnished. Maybe they are a different finish on the wheel?
