That's when many report they began hearing the famous tick. Mine definitely became a little louder after my second oil change after purchasing the car new, but not that loud.

Yup right after an oil change got the noise

That’s cold start. When it warms up it’s not as loud. But the video I posted is dead cold.

It’s a noisy valve train issue on the gen 3 cars from what I gathered. It’s in the heads if you listen closely. It’s not the bottom end

Take a look at this video. The repairman got lucky and was able to fix it without removing the timing cover.

Take a look at this video. The repairman got lucky and was able to fix it without removing the timing cover.

I had seen this video a while ago, and after watching it, my belief that it might be a problem with the camshaft and lifters increased a little more since the sound is similar.
