Was driving my '17 GT today and made a left turn going about 15 mph finished the turn and heard a light quick thud then an aweful loud bang that I could feel through my feet and sounded like it came from the engine bay. First thing I did was look in road behind me to see if I hit somthing and also back tracked after to look on street. Didn't see anything. How loud it was I for sure thought something was broken but I inspected the whole car underneath and in the engine bay and found nothing.

Anyone else have this happen? I'm thinking bad things like a flywheel bolt coming loose and getting sheared off. Car is completely stock.

Op I think you are been paranoid. A rock hit the floorpan is probably the correct answer

When I had the Subaru with the boxer engine that sound like a helicopter I thought the valves were bend lol

This reminds me, I ran over a dead armadillo the other day because I had no room to swerve and it made a loud bang so I should check my undercarriage.
