All issues I've had with the car have been either mod related or more recently, bodyshop related (guys don't know how to install a new bumper properly). Aside from that, I do get a super soft clutch pedal once in a while but it's so intermittent that I can never pinpoint exactly what the issue is and neither can the dealership.

I love this car, especially with my exhaust set-up and the raised redline. It's done some serious damage on the Mexican highways and constantly receives attention everywhere I go. I've grown somewhat bored with it, but that's only cause I crave more power now and wonder what another car with more power would be like. But overall, it's an awesome car, you'll be happy.

I beat the holy hell out of mine everyday and it takes it like a champ. To me, that says a lot about this car.

Forums are always a place for people to bitch about everything and nothing. I'm sure you will love your car man, don't sweat the small stuff reading things here and there.
Right on. In general people tend to turn into different animals behind a monitor or a steering wheel. Pretty interesting phenomenon.

Back to the matter at hand; keep your order in. I feel that the S550 is a great car for the cost. I have a GT PP and think its probably the best car I've owned. Im sure when I get older and spend a lot more on my vehicles that will change. Wouldn't mind owning the other kind of horse sometime...

No regrets with mine either. I do agree the manual transmission on here is a little notchy and sometimes I wonder about it. But I have the 7 year/75k mile warranty on there so I'm not terribly concerned just yet. Overall I'm digging this car. Suspension doesn't seem too floaty to me, maybe I'll have to go in and test drive a non PP and just tell the salesman I'm considering trading out to a non PP mustang when I get a funny look for asking to test drive a new mustang when I pull up in a new mustang LOL. The only other beef I have is when I go to close my trunk, it doesn't always want to latch down and I have to go close that badboy again. And the stereo unit doing some screwy shit like making my phone suddenly play music in my pocket after shutting it off when I wasn't even playing music from a bluetooth source (I play songs off a thumb drive plugged in to the USB slot in front of my shifter). That last tidbit can probably be fixed if Ford ever wanted to give us a patch for the software on the stereo. But overall, it's nitpicky shit I'm commenting on. Mechanically and performance-wise, everything that counts is just spot the fuck on and I love the hell out of my car.

If you browse any automotive/brand specific forum you will see this for every car. Would you really believe that EVERY car is horrible? No. There are just a lot of people who nitpick online. People who over exaggerate everything. People who don't understand cars enough to even qualify for an opinion. I haven't owned mine long enough (only have 250 miles on mine) to give advice or opinion but I am no veteran to online car forums.

People hardly ever search google for places to praise a car. If there are finding a forum to post, it's usually because they have something to complain about. I'm sure the S550 has it's quirks like all cars. I'm sure some cars have fitment issues, rattles, squeaks, electric and mechanical issues, it happens to ALL cars. Mustangs are a BIG seller. It's a car that is sold in 3 configurations and many different trims, now world wide. There are A LOT of owners so you are going to see more posts about stuff.

No offense to your old car, but if you thought your 2007 was a great car than I could only imagine how blown away you would be with today's Mustang. I'm pretty sure Ford has PROGRESSED in the past 10 years, not decline on their abilities to build a pony car.

Well I didn't read the thread first but it appears I just repeated exactly what everyone else stated. See, we all know what's up. Don't listen to them, listen to us!

This car continues to impress me, and I'm saying that as a long-time/current German car owner. Yeah ford dealership service is so-so, the suspension is kind of floaty, yeah the bluetooth has been funky, and I had my first issue with the car in only 7500 miles. But still, this car punches above its class, its exterior/interior look far better than a 25K car should (that's how much I paid for mine). Everything is good out of the box and can be improved with some aftermarket mods (power, handling).

I get so many compliments on the car and I don't think its styling will become old-fashioned anytime soon. This car has me hooked on mustangs, and I hope to keep buying Mustangs in the future (as long as they don't eff them up like the Mustang II).

I'm very anxious to see what the MY18 changes are and if they will release a GT500.

Wait till the refresh next year....according to insiders you won't be disappointed.
Nah. It's never worth waiting for something when you are already eager to get it. Get a 17 now, wait for the next Gen to come out and trade your car/sell it once it's on it's 2nd/3rd year. I hate purchasing first runs of refreshes. You are the beta tester for the car. Usually small quirks but it can become aggravating.

My last track car was an 1991 NSX.
I am extremely impressed with my 2015 S550.
The IRS, power, ride and handling are incredible for the $29,5 I spent for my base GT. I bought with the intention of immediately bolting on a Whipple after engine break in at 1000miles.
Including SC cost: Best $40k 700hp vehicle purchase ever.
For a pure track Mustang maybe 2014 or older.
But daily driver AND track:
S550 or S550 GT350($$)

Love my '16 GT PP. Not many miles on it since I work a lot, and it's not my DD, but HOLY S*IT when I get in that thing, I'm smiling ear to ear the whole time. I put in a Steeda Tri Ax Race Shifter and have no issues with the MT82.

My last car before the 2016 GT was a New Edge Cobra. This s550 is light years ahead. IRS is better; more power and N/A; better factory gearing and the 6 speed is actually a 5 speed with an OD as opposed to a Tremic. I autocross a lot and found my 86 to be much faster than the Cobra. But this thing is unbelievable. First A/X will be tomorrow (FS or STP). Don't really care how it places; just in this for fun but given the way it handles, should do very well. Big queston is the P-Zeros. They are 220 wear but so far they don't speak to me.

We traded our 2013 GT500 for the 2015 50YLE. It's that much better of a car.

This is my second Mustang and my first S550. Before this I had a 2013 Mustang Red convertible V6. The convertible was awesome at first but I found that I just didn't use it with the top down much. Had my heart set on a deep impact blue 2015 GT and just had to do it. I love this car. It reminds me a lot of the 68 fastback- the way the roof slopes down in the back- it looks so sick. It looks to me like muscle car meets European sports car. I think it looks somewhat similar to the Jaguar XF. I turn around and look at it every time I get out of the car.

The V8 is just awesome. The power is effortless. I've always wanted the V8 and should've gotten it from the beginning. I honestly can't even use all the power this car has.

Stock non-PP the body is a little floaty and there is some body roll and unpredictable handling in some situations if you REALLY push it. But that's putting it very critically. Stock it still handles great and cornering is excellent.

With my mods this things is buttoned up now. All of the aforementioned "issues" are in the past. All I need now is new tires. The car was great before and better now. I'm happy with the mods I've done. All that aside, perfectly stock this car is great. To get this kind of power, handling, looks and vibe for a car around $30K - it's fantastic. And the ability to mod/upgrade is endless and all kinds of great aftermarket parts are readily available.

I wouldn't hesitate getting another S550 if mine was stolen. I would do it the same way, Non-PP and upgrade. The only reason I think the PP is worth it is the wheels/tires which I do not have.

Parked in my 1st shopping centre today, had to back out, the cross traffic sensors were superb, it was raining had a van one side and a suv the other side, boy they do make life easier, then having to edge out and pray
Also found that the BLIS works with motorbikes and even cyclists
very impressed
