2015 with 15k miles. I fall in love with it more every time I drive it.

You don't need to worry. Everyone is different so I think when you see people here complaining about something, most of the time it will be due to personal preference or past experiences. That, or they are just one-off instances.

I love my MT-82. Short throws for a stock shifter. Great gearing in 6th on the highway for passing, even with my 3.31 rear. Selecting gears feels like chambering a round in a well-oiled high-quality bolt action rifle.

As for interior fit-and-finish, I'm sure you'll find it a world beyond your current Mustang's (which I'm sure you have). Also, the features you get standard with the Premium are great, especially when you consider how much extra you have to pay to have them as an option from many luxury manufacturers *cough* BMW *cough* like the cooled seats which are an absolute godsend here in FL. No clue how I ever lived without them.

I love my 16 S550 so much more than I ever thought possible. I traded my 06 Mustang after 9 yrs of problem free driving enjoyment and haven't looked back. I love it so much that I have modded my first car ever!

My 15 Eco was a lemon and I took a chance on my 16 GT and I am so glad I did!

Magnetic is the fastest color ;)

If you get a good one, you'll be happy.

If you get one like mine (in the shop 6 times in 6 months & 1200 miles, haven't seen the car now in 30 days :eyebulge: ) you'll be hating your decision to get it.

i've only had my '16 convertible for a month, but i'm loving it. Folks are correct people who are happy with what they have don't comment much as opposed to the unhappy ones who love to bitch. I have an Ecoboost automatic and when I want that sports car feel i put it into sports steering, sports suspension and sports mode in the tranny and it feels like my 2001 Porsche Boxster but with more power. Sit back, hit the gas and enjoy yourself.

Or better yet.. I'll be that person and maybe because it is taste...

Go sit in a well equipped SS (45K at least) with the fancy packages and then the Mustang at least with premium trim................. Then complain about fit and finish with the Mustang.

Again, I could be biased butttttttttt I bet you'll appreciate the Mustang interior. And, I am someone who was SOLD on getting a Gen6 SS.

Ok. First thread. I've been all over this site for a few weeks. Love the information but now I'm getting worried. Does everybody hate their S550? "The suspension is terrible". "It is the most floaty car i've ever owned!". "The MT-82 is the worst thing ever produced!" "Fit and finish is terrible". "The vibration between 50-70 mph made my teeth explode!" And on and on and on....

I've ordered a 2017 GT premium and almost want to cancel it.

I have a 2007 Mustang GT that I ordered new from the factory in '06. Love the car. Was totally surprised how nimble it felt. I had never owned or really driven any type of performance car before that.

I've been running AutoX locally for about 5 years now. The first two seasons on stock A/S tires. Then upgraded to Rivals. Man! Felt awesome! Dominated FS here for 3 years. Also upgraded to Koni's and better rear sway. It felt better but not light years better like it did when I got new tires. Still, it wasn't until this year that other guys started beating me in FS (2016 Camaro. Sorry).

I'm not a race car driver. I don't want to be. I have no interest in going to Solo nationals. I just want a fun car that i can DD and occasionally AutoX. But at this point I feel like I should order a Toyota Yaris and save myself the headache. At least it would cost less.

I rented a S550 on a family trip (V6 auto obviously) and thought it was sweet but am I really going to like it better then my '07 in the long run? It's had almost no issues in the last 10 years of ownership and has 110,000 miles.

Anyway, how about some positive stuff?
1. As someone else said..people come to the internet to complain. 98% of the other owners are out having fun and not on the internet singing the car's praises. 1% are complaining, and the other 1% are true enthusiasts on the web being enthusiastic.

2. Very few people here actually know what they're talking about. Even some of the people with major mods have just thrown them on there without a real understanding of what's going on and end up wasting a lot of money. I don't know tons about cars but I can do more than the average person. I know how an internal combustion engine works. I've built a small block Chevy. Most people don't even know "air, fuel, spark." I also know what I DON'T know and try not to take wild guesses on M6G.

3. Forums (and anywhere else large numbers of people congregate, such as facebook) suffer from "group think". It's a very real and in some cases very dangerous/terrifying phenomenon. In the M6G world though, one person complains, another feels a hiccup in his car later and decides he's got the exact same issue and that the first complainer was totally accurate, then the next person and next person come along and suddenly there are countless glaring issues and crap designs and cheap parts, when in fact, it was reason #1 and 2 that caused the whole problem.

This is my first Mustang. I've owned numerous sports cars, street rods, and classic muscle cars over the past 25 years. The reason I bought the Mustang is I wanted a daily driver that was fun. I got tired of driving a Corvette on sunny days and weekends, then going back to a boring daily driver Monday through Friday. After six months it's moving up the list of my favorite cars I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of cars. Yes, it has some minor squeaks and rattles, the handling is a bit vague, and the fit and finish isn't up to European standards. The Mustang is a high volume production car that's pretty affordable. I didn't expect an M3 for half the price. As a daily driver it's comfortable, it looks great, it actually gets reasonable gas mileage, and it's just fun to drive. For me, the pros far outweigh the cons.

And for the record, my GT is worth every penny financed. I've had an absolute blast the past two months. I love it. Other people love it. I even had some locals in a challenger and pre 15 mustang follow me to a gas station the other night. They've been seeing me around and probably wanted to see who was driving the murdered out 16..lol. Sadly, they probably realized I wasn't anyone they knew or in their age group to talk into racing. I probably suck at shifting anyway. :)

If you want fun in the curves, add the performance pack to your order. I could afford base premium or base PP. Someone on here told me to get the PP or regret it, so I did and I'm still learning its limits. It's a whole different experience from what I've read people describing in their non PP cars.

I love my car and don't regret buying it for a second. Are there things I want to improve about it? Sure! But that's the fun of modding and how much there is available for this car. Everyone wants something a little different out of their Mustang, and fortunately, there's plenty of options out to personalize it just the way you want (exhaust, chassis/suspension, power adders, wheels/tires, other exterior stuff). There's a lot of little and inexpensive things that go a long way to making this car fantastic.

It is a GREAT car and the sales #s prove that. Don't let some of the things people complain about here get you down. It is nearly impossible to find an overall better, more exciting and great looking vehicle at this price point.

The car is fine. Barring the few people who have real problems, the majority are just nitpicking.

The suspension isn't terrible, but it's designed to be compliant and comfortable to the 95% of owners who won't thrash on the car. And on top of that, the majority of the people on the forums are people who are interested in modifying the car, so there's that too.

I have an early build,10/14 GTPP. 15 track days so far. Eibach suspension with 295 Michelin Cup 2's. Competive with Porsche Caymen S and older 911 GT3 cars. And I put the grandkids in the back when I get a chance. Love the car.

You won't get a better $$$ deal for the performance, looks, moddability, and driving experience of this car. People on the internet bitch a lot about problems with their vehicles, but if the problems were really as pronounced and common as internet whiners suggest they are, Ford would not be selling 10,000+ Mustangs per month. I've owned a lot of vehicles over the years, and this one is by far the best in nearly every category I can think of. Enjoy your car!

OP........... This is my first Mustang. Only thing I am sorry for is that I didn't get one sooner.

I was always a Mustang (convertible) lover, but never owned one. My 2016 GT/CS Vert probably wasn't the smartest money I have spent. But I guarantee, its the best and most fun I have spent. NO regrets what-so-ever.:headbang:

I ordered in March. I had been talking about it constantly for 3 months before my order. And again constantly waiting for my order, Now I have the car, I talk about it more than I ever did.

Hell, I love my car.

Some body panels may be off a smidge, but mine are almost perfect. The MT82 took a bit of getting used to. But now I am fine with it. I get lots of looks and compliments where ever I go. Car is very comfortable. The V8 sounds great. Wife loves it.

I can go on and on............:first:

Really appreciate all the replies! I honestly don't expect it to be perfect. Now the wait is even more grueling...
