Congrats on the Retirement and enjoy the all "new to you" amenities available...

The list of needs you posted made me literally laugh 🤣😂😁 when reading you guys had to have an "In-N-Out Burger" joint as one of the requirements.... Funny, but if it works, all the better for both of you!!! Enjoy!! :)
Thanks! But the In-N-Out requirement is entirely my own, my wife only requires a shopping mall...

I drove mine from SLC to San Francisco and down the PCH last year. Mine has the Recaro's and it was a great trip!

My wife and I are retiring to the Las Vegas area, (Centennial Hills) and I decided to drive my 2020 GT350 there rather that trailer or ship it. It's 579 miles from where I currently live (SF Bay area) to our new home. I gassed it up (Premium only always!) and hit the road early in the morning. I really tried to nurse my gas mileage along and did pretty good. I averaged 16-19 MPG for the whole trip. That said, some of the freeways were wide open, easy to see great distances and straight as a string, sooo...I wound it up to 120 on I5 and I must say, it was smooth as silk. This car is very comfortable with speed and 120 felt stable and safe. It was ready for a lot more, but at 120 things were coming at me very quickly, so I backed off. But at least I did it. I burned up 3 full tanks of gas, and at current rates flying would have been cheaper. And apart from my lower back issues it was a fairly comfortable ride. I don't have the R, so no Recaros. It was a long day, traffic here and there, but for the most part the car handled the 579 miles easily and fairly comfortably. Although I don't plan any more long trips in this car, I did it and I know it can do it with ease. I bought this car to drive, it's no garage queen, but no more big stuff. Next up is to drive it to the Shelby headquarters, maybe Cars and Coffee and the Shelby Bash in October. There it is. 579 miles and my 2020 GT350 is now resting comfortably in it's new home.

You yanks and your long drive hahahahs, you really need to come over to were the kangaroos jump and roads run for thousands of miles.

A 560 mile trip or as we metric chaps say 900 odd km is just the normal drive between Sydney and Melbourne. Heck me and my convertible GT have done that trip 6 times in the last 2 years.

I'm about to do it again this Friday after work, admittedly in my wife's Range Rover. Just a normal 9 hour day for us nothing to see there!!

I just recently did a track day at Pocono, then next day hopped in it and drove 984 miles to Waukon, IA. A week later drove back home to NJ and got the oil changed Monday. Now mine isn’t a GT350 just a regular GT A10 with Ricaros. It handled the track just fine, and the 130mph several times on the trip back and forth. I had no problem staying comfortable and neither did my girlfriend.

I’ll do a long drive this fall in my 350, DC to Ely Mn and then back. Each way is about 1100 miles. I plan to go to Ohio then up into Michigan and cross the Mackinac bridge to the UP then shoot across that to Wisconsin into Duluth and the up 61 to 1.

Who knew the GT350 was a road trip car?

Congrats on making it to retirement and actually being able to retire! LOL I used to think Vegas was scorching hot in the summer till I moved to Phoenix. (Also from CA, San Diego area.) Count yourself lucky you don't have the recaros. They are fantastic on the track but I don't care for the tight fit around town. Then again I only bought it for a track toy so it doesn't matter to me. Love the 3 car garage!

You are a lucky guy for sure!

I am 1950 miles from you (straight west) and very jealous.

My old car is a 2019 Ford GT350:

I guess that I am stuck here as my wife has relatives around here.
