K then. Spend the coin. Get Ford to flash it. And keep rolling over for Lund. Cheers.
Yes to this and the fix was in the first post. If money and warranties are not a problem, why then ask what it would cost to repair or if there was a way to do it without taking it to the dealer...just call a tow truck and be done!

Reason I ask is because if it’s a couple hundred dollars I don’t have a problem covering that if it’s a couple of thousand then I may look at other options.
I don’t know why some people are getting so mad about this. I’m not rolling over to Lund. They have treated me right in the past. They have done a revision for me even though I was past the time limit without charging me. They have always been quick to respond to any questions I have asked. Yes I asked them about all of this but I was curious to see if anyone else had these issues (they told me to take it to Ford) They said it could have been a loss of power or bad connection during the download but since this a rare thing I was reaching out for any other answers or ideas. I didn’t know the roast would start over such a simple question.

I think they charge an hour of labor to re-flash the ECM So 1 to 2 hundred bucks.

For what it is worth I only flash with a battery tender hooked up, when I started doing this I quit having weird problems.

The time that scared me the worst was when I got the power steering rack code. It would not reset. Power steering did not work. I took the car to Ford and they said I needed a new rack at 3000.

I said I need to think on this......

I thought maybe I can find something in forscan to try. I found I was able to reset the control module for the rack and did just that. The code went away and my power steering was back. Code never has returned, except once more when I flashed without a tender connected.

I also had several communication codes along with the steering code so I attributed this to a low voltage condition during the flash.

Ever since I have been using the tender I have had no more surprises.

Good luck.

I keep a 10amp charger just for this, I also had a bad incident, but I salvaged it. also upgraded from a cheap elm device to the forscan cord. a 40minute flash, went to 2 minutes.

Well I'm following this closely. if things don't change around a lot for the OP I'm going to stay far away from Lund.

Sounds to me like the tune corrupted the original file like somebody else said otherwise it should let him retune it to stock.
Easy lol lund has my car pulling right now

I guess I’m more loyal than some. Just cause I have one issue over the past year is not a reason to jump ship. Do people sell their cars because a axle snaps? I will update this thread after I get my car back. If anyone is interested Rockingham drag way has a event next Saturday (22ed) if anyone wants to go.

So I got it back from Ford. All they did was upload a tune to the transmission. They said when I was switching tunes it just failed to upload. Nothing was broken or corrupted. It took the 15 mins to repair. Now I can’t tune it because there is no 93 octane available. If it’s not one thing it’s another. But main thing is my cars up and running

Glad it is working, I still wonder why it didn't program the transmission when you reflashed back to stock.

Good to hear.

Maybe it’s possible your connection glitched when you were doing your initial upload or power was cut for a few seconds?

Always keep the car running or have a battery tender hooked up when doing any PCM or SYNC updates, always have to keep the power on during any such process.

double check that your tune is indeed for an automatic transmission, if the tune is set for a manual car, it will happen again.

mine was that... i never double check after the update because i used the tuner before and no problems... boom... tune was for a manual car and my transmission lost the tune.

I had to put it back to stock tune, take it to ford, reflash the tranny, and then upload the right tune.
