Anyone running lightweight CF DS from the Drive shaft Shop or QA1 on their 6 speed Tremec? Anyone have real world experience before I hit the button. Tremec 6 speed Mach 1 users only.

I have the DSS one piece aluminum on my 2016 MT82, it's been great. No nvh, the car feels quicker with the rotational weight savings . Can't go wrong with a lighter driveshaft.

I put a new DSS aluminum driveshaft on my 2022 M1 last summer. Its coming off in the spring and getting replaced with a QA1 carbon fiber shaft. The DSS shaft is terrible. not balanced, shakes from 50-60mph. DSS quality has gone down the drain. I bought axles from them also that both leaked grease within 100 miles of install. Had to take them off also. So much wasted money. I will never buy anything from them again.

Good luck. GT500 uses CV joints at both ends but aftermarket ones use the conventional approach with only one. NVH on non GT500 is a hit or miss and it more of a axle/transmission system issue that the two-piece driveshaft design does a great job isolating. (The 10R80 application center support is especially compliant and sloppy for a reason.) I had vibration issues I couldn't resolve on a QA1 CF driveshaft on my son's 2022 GT w/10R80. The driveshaft was SFI approved and it had outstanding quality but it just didn't work out for daily driver use. Hopefully, your application is trouble-free.
