FR3Z4033B is the correct part number. All my parts were ordered from an R model Vin. The cover is different, it comes with the fittings for the cooler (OEM quick disconnects) so it has three 1/2"NPT holes instead of two. The cover lists for $110.82. Benny has good pricing but he is too far away from us for the volume so I source everything from a local dealer so we can touch and feel parts and compare stuff from other models.
Please, please please keep us up to date on this with photos, part numbers and pricing! Much appreciated!

I was thinking of using a switch like this to activate the fans and pump. This particular switch is a setrab 200 degree switch.

My thought was to run a 6 awg to the back off the power center lug. In the back I would have a heavy duty relay, that would be controled by the thermal switch.

Here is the cooler I was thinking. Looks like it could mount directly to the trunk floor, no fab needed.

With the switch above I think you could use this without the cover, though I do like the cover.

Wouldnt the diffuser be in the way?

Simpler is better id just put in the stock location and avoid fans. Switch looks good, you could also trigger off the fuel pump.

I think it would fit right in front of the black plastic piece on the trunk floor

A thermo switch inline wont work. The fuid is stationary before the pump is activated. The diff could be 400 degrees and the non moving fluid two feet away could be 160. The sensor needs to be in the diff.

Even if it is on the lower hole in the diff? My assumption is there would be fluid in the line to the level of the fluid in the diff.

Definitely could be a false assumption.

Seems to work fine on my trans cooler, but again the trans has a pump so.

It if its close enough it will trigger. It wont be 200 since the diff will be higher but you could also pick a trigger temp with that in mind. Oil obviously will conduct the heat

Pry yourself away from the keypad, climb under your track pack then come back and tell us where Ford put the differential temp sensor.

Why does the stock location matter? Keep it close enough to the diff (on the bottom) and you will be fine, obviously in the diff would be better. Or like i said trigger of the fuel pump.

If you have no way to monitor temps with a heat activated switch you will always be wondering if the pump is running etc. (Ive been there)

Our concern for the one we are building for the GT is the under tray on the Shelby. I have to crawl under one to see if it will work on both. You can mount the temp switch in the drain fitting and it will be in hot fluid so it will work. Ours will have a 3 way switch so you can just manually turn it on and off and have it run off the temp switch. This way you can super cool it in the pits between runs. Or if something fails it will still work.

Uhh I was so wrong on this statement. The MT82 does not have a pump. The trans cooler I added on my vette is for and automatic, which yes has a pump.

How much work is it to change the rear cover?

6 AWG wire is for 60 amps. Way overkill. #10 or 12 will work fine for these little 15a pumps.

You could tap it, but at that point youd have to take it off anyway.
