Read of it this morning.

I'd like to learn of others' experience of ordering such a vehicle. If I walked into my local dealer and began discussing a possible purchase, I'd be laughed out to the parking lot.

And, as we have seen with the Durango, I'd like to learn of others' thoughts on those which currently own a Demon; many have been storing and keeping their cars with the expectation they were holding the last ever built.

Durango? What is going on with that?
Great SUV but would have never thought as a collectable.

Watched a couple of videos early this morning. I guess the whole point is that you get that package with a factory warranty.

Unfortunately, I think there will be substantial dealer markups that ruin the price point and that a lot of the 3,300 units will disappear in garages/car collections.

My brother in law was really into drag racing and built an 8 second car out of a new edge Mustang with an LS swap for a fraction of the price of a 170. Beat on the car hard and when something broke, just replaced/fixed it for little money.

I love it! If my finances were a little better I would be trading in my GT500 on one. These cars are going to hold their value very well as being the last gas powered dodge Challenger.

Dodge showing once again who's King Daddy in straight-line performance.

Bargin of the century right there. 110K MSRP. No doubt the dealers will add another 100K on top of that though.

This is the first time I can remember seeing a manufacturer build a performance oriented street vehicle designed to use E85 from the rip. Pretty sweet send off.

Looks like the warranty is going to be getting a regular workout. :giggle:

Dodge was expected to reveal the car earlier this year, but engineers were “blowing up” engines attempting to get as much performance as possible out of the car, Kuniskis said. The problems led engineers to develop a new supercharged engine for the vehicle.

I read somewhere that dealer orders as MSRP will receive priority scheduling. Bravo, Dodge. Wonder how they'll manage that...

If that is really the case, every dealer order will be sent in as MSRP. What and how they charge the ADM will be their dirty little secret. Dealers are not stupid.

I think it's great that Dodge is building some cool cars. And I think I heard they will be building as many as they can this year - estimated over 3,000 of them. Even better. Some companies come up with a great vehicle and then only build a few. Dodge is really stepping up. It makes me want to buy from them. If Dodge made something that struck my fancy I would definitely drive/research etc. and give it a chance. Challenger is just too big for me.
