Anybody about to install theirs, what thread/size are the rear shock nut and front strut nut? I need to buy them to finish installing mine since I know the rear is different than stock, not sure about the front. Are 12mm fine thread and 14mm course thread? Please help?
take the strut and shock with you to the hardware store, fool proof way of matching up the threads

My Konis showed up Friday evening. I ordered them in March from Hypermotive; shout out to jayman33 @ Hypermotive, they have great customer service!

I slotted the upper strut mount holes 2mm per the service manual procedure on Saturday morning (only way to get camber and stay legal in SCCA F-Street). Struts took from 1:30 to 10:00 PM. Spent a couple hours chasing tools and renting strut compressors, that was by far the biggest PITA dealing with the strut springs.

Rears took a total 3 hrs including drilling the mount out and eating lunch.

I set them at 1 turn from full soft on all corners, and I'm running on BFG Rivals. Car handles great. I may go a little stiffer as I go, but 1 turn is a good starting point. Much better weight transfer over large bumps at slow speeds, no more porpoising over small bumps at high-speed, and high-speed transitions are much more stable. So far, it feels much more composed putting the power down through the corners. I'm really happy with them and glad I held out.

If you have the performance package and you're one of those people who doesn't wash your car too often (I know, I'm a heretic), be prepared for brake dust, OMG the brake dust. SO MUCH BRAKE DUST...

Thank you. Took them to my local auto parts warehouse and they provided me with the correct front strut nut. Struck out on the rear as they couldn't find one that would turn past the first few threads :( they tried both SAE and metric three different kind threads but no luck. Anybody have any advice?

Go to a real hardware store like Ace (if you have one), they should have a thread gauge and you can find out exactly what it is.

Just got back from one and they had it! Its slightly taller not as thin as the jam nuts that come with koni shocks but it works. Cheers!

Thanks to David@Steeda for the hook up on the prices. I received my rears only Thursday. I also ordered new rear mounts, bumpstops, and dust boots from Levittown ford so I wouldn't have to disassemble the old shocks. Purchased front struts and steeda camber plates last night can't wait to get the front handling matching the rear.

I used a small unibit that went to 1/2" and it went thru like butter. Installed on the car this afternoon with the initial settings at 1/2 turn from soft.

Just came back from the test drive various back roads and open highway. The rears are definitely much firmer than the stock front struts. The rear seemed firm but very well controlled and made the front struts very noticeable that they are not controlling the springs as well as the rear shocks, the front kind of porpoises over bumps in the road. I would recommend doing both fronts and rears because of the way it makes the car handle. It is not bad but i could tell when pushing the car that the front needs better dampening.
Can't install until Wednesday :frusty:

I'll give my impressions in case anyone's interested. Thanks to David@Steeda
 Enjoy!

Got mine installed on saturday along with steeda progressive springs on a otherwise stock PP GT.

Initial impressions are that the car is a bit stiffer, but I don't really mind the stiffness as the car seems much more composed over bumps. I would imagine that setting these at full soft would be almost no difference in ride quality as compared to the stock pp set. The car will take a bump and rebound and be settled much quicker than the stock set. I set the front and rear at 1.25 turns off of full soft as Bill did in the CJ pony parts video. I wouldn't say the car handles like a go-cart, it's a heavy car and I think it's difficult to hide when it's really pushed hard, but it's an improvement. I think an upgrade like this takes a fair amount of time to really get a good impression so it may take a few months for some really meaningful reviews to come out. I'm interested to set these closer to full stiff and see what it does. I will chime in with some more impressions as i get some more seat time, but I will say overall I am very pleased with the upgrade

David, are you at a point where you can share any differences the Steeda's will offer over the Koni's? I am wanting a new setup but since I have steeda sways and springs, kind of waiting to see what you offer.

Finally got mine installed. Swapped out the regular rear GT springs with a set of PP springs, Steeda bushing hit , alignment kit and jacking rails. After adjusting the Koni's a couple of times and doing an alignment, I'm extremely pleased with the result. On my way home on the toll road the rear end use to hit the rubber bumpers on dips in the highway at hi speed. Problem solved.

Had mine installed as well. So far _extremely_ pleased, car was severely underdamped (being non-PP). Will turn the up more and will see what happens on Sunday's auto-x.
