Hey all, my adjustment tab on one of my rear shocks is locked up. I installed them today and couldn't get it to adjust. The other 3 shocks and struts adjusted just fine before I got to this one. I ended up putting a wrench below it and then tried to use the small metal adjuster to make it budge. I was going in the firm direction and not the softer direction. The tab broke off on me and now I don't know what to do besides contact Koni. I don't understand why they ship these things full soft. I know I'm not the first person to have this issue because I was at the auto skills shop and another guy was doing Koni's as well. He had an adjustment tab that was giving him problems as well. Luckily he just stopped messing with it once he saw mine break. They need to back it off of full soft so the valves don't lock up (at least that's what I think is causing this issue.) Before I put that much pressure on the tab, I did try going the opposite direction with very minimal pressure to see if that would help the issue.

So the question is, do you think Koni will warranty this shock?

Just a quick update. Koni has been pretty positive about replacing the shock but won't say for sure until they get it and look it over. Luckily they will sell me a replacement beforehand at a big discount and refund me that money if it is indeed a defective shock. Overall I am really pleased with their CS thus far.

I have been driving with them on and the shock is making a lot of noise like it is blown. Since it couldn't be adjusted off of full soft, I bet that had something to do with it. I haven't hit any potholes or major bumps to make it blow.
