Honestly, the FFRE kit looks identical except for the washer. The washer in the Kinetik kit was significantly smaller than stock. Soo much so, I was paranoid and triple checked to ensure the washer dia was big enough to sit outside the face of the pulley. It does, but it does not fill the wear pattern of the stock washer. That washer in the FFRE looks mucho better and wider. The stud and 12 pt nut look the same.

@NGOT8R Can you take a stand alone pic of that washer out of the bag for us? Thanks.
I agree and wrote Kinetic an email years ago outline the washer is too small. I used the washer that comes with the ARP crank BOLT kit, perfect.

Yes, give me just a bit and I’ll post closeup pics of all parts.

Yup, completely different washer. I like it. Same dia as stock washer. Great, now I don’t like the small washer that came with this kit. Guess I’ll put the stock washer back on. Started to do that anyways.

So the FFRE instructions don’t specify, but the pic on the website shows the raised portion on that washer as going inwards towards the engine. Cool design idea.

Yup, it sinks into the center of the balancer and keeps it centered.

I just reinstalled my Kinetic stud bolt, washer and New ARP nut when i installed Innovators West 10% OD Damper. I seen zero issue with the mating diameter of the washer or thickness. ??

The washer the kinetic kit comes with is barely bigger than the crank snout diameter. A larger diameter washer is more ideal as there is more surface area for the washer to contact the face of the balancer hub.

Also, the FFRE washer with the centering shoulder really does nothing. It's just to make people feel good. I suppose I'd rather have it than not though.

I do not remember the washer being that small. When my shoulder is well enough to crawl back under and measure mine. I just don't remember that or I would think I would have question.

You will find the washer is barely larger than the diameter of the crank snout. As mentioned before, I used a washer that came with the arp bolt kit. Much larger.

I cannot remember the OD and thickness of the Kinetic washer. Do you have the measurements to compare?

It's around here somewhere, I'll look for it. Pretty tired right now, just did a fuel system on my f150. I'll look tomorrow.

I’ll probably take mine off tomorrow so I can put the stock washer back on. Will measure and post.
