Ran into a pretty big issue. I’ll update when I know the full extent of the problem and remedy. Having trouble getting a response from said vendor.

Ok and hope it works out.... Thanks you for this thread got me looking at my 1300 ID's and I have decided to sell and upgrade to 1700 ID's. I wish logs show duty cycle. Injector Dynamics said I was probably running close at the current hp level.

In this space, that list could be pretty long....

The converter is letting go 5,000 ish rpm. It has been removed and shipped back for inspection.

So......

This kit is supposed to include EVERYTHING for the swap and rated for 1700+ RWHP

The customer service has been non existent from JPC.

We will start with the shifter, sent me the wrong one. JPC says "it can be made to work", Hurst says no I need the correct one. I have to pull the lever to go from 1-2 then it will bump into 3rd. NOT how its supposed to work.

I received a reverse valve body transmission, hence the issue with the shifter, Eric @ JPC cant find any info on if thats what I was supposed to get or not. :frusty:

I did not receive transmission cooler lines, had to pay Jay to do it. Whatever little things right??

We strap in on the dyno and start low boost tuning (wastegate only 13-14PSI). We get 100% slippage around 5000-5500RPM @ around 700HP. Call JPC, they request a log to verify its not tire spin. Sure, sent that over on 6/7, Only response received " we are looking into it".

So Jay and I figure out Transmission Specialities is who built the trans and converter. They have been great (so far) considering I didn't order or pay them directly. They ask us to send in the converter and thats where we sit know.

I would not recommend JPC to anyone. I paid 7K for a complete kit thats not supposed to require any extra work, didnt happen. Paid for 1700RWHP capable, yet broke on the dyno @700hp. 0 customer service and I get to pay Jay to R&R the trans and converter AGAIN. The above screen shot is ALL I received from them as far as info for what I paid 7k for.

Ok rant is over. I hate to be that guy..... but this is bullshit service :tsk:

#racecarproblems

Lol yea just frustrating. This build has had its share of problems that I have kept private bc the vendors, while slower than Christmas, alsways made it right or showed some effort to.

So the $1800 converter ONLY works between 1300-1500HP. Can someone following this help me understand this?

I was assured by JPC at purchas this would be very streetable and operate at all hp levels.
