Jack rail installation question??

Ran into something with my BMR rails that I don't remember reading about in any of the other threads. I found the 4 bolts near the pinch rail and loosened them, removed the rear two and started them back in the rail pockets before moving forward. They don't reach the front bolts!

Started looking and found two empty bolt holes in front of the two bolts I removed in the rear. It looks like the rails are fabricated to bolt into these two holes.

Question - no instructions or bolts received with the rails - am I supposed to remove the two rear bolts and move them to the two empty holes just forward of them? Or do I need to go get me some more bolts for this install?

Anyone who can answer this I would appreciate a response as I have it up on ramps in the garage right now.

When I did mine originally with the steeda's I believe I had to move some bolts. I also just switched them out for BMR's and had 1 bolt I had to remove that was different.

Also be aware that these are side specific. Had a similar issue in the front when swapping mine until I realized it.

Found PDF instructions on the BMR website but for the low profile rails they would not open.

Also found that the rear bolts are in one set of the 4 holes on one side and in the other set of the found holes on the other side.

So I guess I'm going to assume it doesn't matter what hole the bolts are in - just re-install them to work with the rails.

I did notice there is a side to side difference. I'm going with moving the bolts.

I looked at the longer rails, but went with Steedas - since I just use the rails for jacking and put the jack stands on the factory jack points. No issues and I've had the car up on stands for a rear end install, an exhaust install, header install, etc etc.

Yeah, what gives addle:

The Steeda rails are designed & engineered to be lighter & also work with the Steeda IRS braces.

Understand that consumers want them longer in length but we find the majority of our customers are happier with the shorter length as they tend to stay within the surface area of the rail anyway.
