Hi guys, I'm Ron...Gdyup50....I bought my 2015 Guard GT in December...I'm a guy who has always said I would never own an American car. I'm a euro car guy, I've had an Audi TT, VW R32, and most recently a BMW M3....when I saw this new Mustang everything changed. I love it, and as much as I love the Competition Orange, and the Ruby Red Metallic, I opted for the Guard because it seemed to be the "rarest" of the colors, and I like to be different. Anyway, I live in SoCal, have been on the board for a couple of days, and have posted a few times, so I thought I would introduce myself. Hopefully this forum will teach me a lot of new things. Glad to be here...

I am a fan of Comp Orange as well. In fact I had one on order, a PP GT model. Ordered it on a Tue evening and returned the next day and changed it to DIB. Couldn't see myself driving an Orange car to work everyday. Great color for a week-end toy though.

Thank you, my plans at this point are the usual, springs, CAI, exhaust, maybe a tune....that will probably be it. I don't like all the extra aftermarket exterior stuff. This car looks badass enough already. :)
Welcome Gdyup!

I'm glad that you are loving the S550 and I'm sure this car has changed a few peoples minds

What are your plans for her? It's tough to keep these things stock!

Let me know if you ever need anything or have any questions.

Here We Go Again!!

Hi y'all. Newbie here Ric from Surrey BC. Ordered a 95 GT convert 20 yrs ago!!! Thot it was time to do it again! The BMW 650 Coupe is now boring!!!!!! Ordered yesterday a Black/Black 2015 GT Premium Fastback with Handling Pkg and every option available!! Plans are for 20 inch Shelby wheels and Nitto 555's!! I like the Black wheel look.... Just prefer a little Bling and old school! Will do a few one-off Mods, exhaust, interior, a Tungsten stripe with Red pinstripe and a Pouch deck spoiler. Should get it June/ July.

Welcome
Casey. Check out the 50th model sub forum. Lots of good information on your car in there.

Congrats on the fastest 50th model there is! (And best, some just won't admit it lol)

Good morning from WI, everyone! I love all the info provided in the forum. I just picked up my special order Mustang on 4/10: Deep impact blue GT Premium, 50 year AP, PP, as well as every option offered by FoMoCo. I found the site looking for info on the lack of the lighted sills for the 50yr cars- I finally got mine wired up this weekend, thanks to y'all that posted info in the past!

Hello, been lurking for awhile. Finally decided to register. I'm the proud papa of a Competition Orange GT PP. Holy crap is this car awesome! I've driven a ton of Mustangs and this one is by far the best driver I've been in. The power is there for sure, but in this one I feel like it's a proper sports car. More than a huge engine sitting on an ox-cart. I couldn't be happier! My only issue so far is the 3.73 gears. I'm not used to shifting this quickly. I've only had 400 miles in her, I'm sure we'll get used to eachother. This thing turns heads like my father-in-laws Boss 429! Glad to have found this forum, seems like an awesome community!

You can say that again gdy!

These cars are bad-ass enough straight from the factory but there is nothing wrong with making them a little more kick ass :headbang:
Sounds like you have a great mod list in mind, let me know if you ever need anything!

Seeing more and more of these beautiful cars pop up really makes me happy!

Congrats guys, beautiful S550's and I can't wait to see how you turn them into your own personal beasts!

Black 2015 Mustang V6 fastback
Howdy folks!

I'm excited to have ordered a black V6 fastback. It'll be my third Mustang. I recently sold my 2012 V6, and regretted it. When I started thinking about getting another Mustang, I decided to order exactly what I wanted. (The 2012 was off the lot, and was 90% what I wanted.)

Hoping to have my black fastback V6 with manual transmission by June/July.

Cheers everybody, it's great to have a good community!

Hey everyone!

Thanks to all for posting great information on this site. I can't wait to keep up on all that everyone is doing. I'm awaiting a Deep Impact Blue GT with Performance Pack. This will be my first mustang. I almost bought one in 2005 when they introduced the S197 series, I wanted to order one in the Legend Lime Green, but didn't have the resources then.

I've had a variety of cars in the past... 85' Toyota Celica, 77' Monte Carlo, 97' Jeep Cherokee, 2000 Ford Taurus, 2002 Dodge Durango (great truck), 2005 Toyota Camry SE (current car).

The 77' Monte Carlo was a blast, I loved that car. It got me through the end of high school and college. I ran it through snowbanks, up the steep Duluth MN hills in the winter, and through rough forest roads. It took a lickin' and eventually stopped tickin'.

I also plan to make modifications to the new mustang as resources allow, probably hood struts will be the first thing. Exhaust, cold air intake, racing stripes, and what ever else suits the fancy. I'd also like to get the weight distribution as close to 50/50 as I can. Move the battery to the trunk is one option I've heard mentioned. I'll have to research more to see what other options help with that.

That's all for now, I'll keep looking for updates from everyone.

Regards,
Scott

Figured I'd finally join and do a proper intro. I've never owned anything other than European before and am happy to finally have changed that. Nothing against the previous bmws and jaguar but I am loving this car so far. Had it for a week. Got tint already and getting some Diode Dynamic lights soon.

Guard and Magnetic are both great colors; they really pop in direct sunlight with the metal flake in the paint. I would say it depends on whether or not you're getting the Red Line Premier Trim upgraded interior; of your two exterior choices, I think that will only be available on the Magnetic (I have it on the Ruby Red and it's amazing). Otherwise, with the Guard exterior you have the options of standard black, Ceramic, Saddle, or the Ebony Premier Trim.

If you're sticking with the stock black interior, either color is great.

Any particular reason you're buying in VA?
