Hi,

I just discovered this forum. :)
I'm from Germany, driving a 2006 Ford Mustang in black.

I pre-ordered the new 2015 Mustang GT in black with Premium package at my local Ford dealer, orders will be processed at March 2nd, so he told me.
Delivery will be around June/July. Can't wait. ;)

Sweet ride, Jesse! Best of luck with it. Good getting to know about you. I'm sure you're going to make quite a few good memories with that Mustang!
Thank you, Ruckus! :D

And I so agree with you and I hope I do! A 19 year old boy with a hot red sports car.... I feel like a teenager living in the 80s driving a new Trans Am. :headbang::lol:

Hello everybody,
My name is Rob and I live in NC. I currently have a 2012 VW Passat TDI SEL that I will be trading in for a 2015 Mustang GT that I ordered last week. I'm looking forward to get back into a Mustang. My first Mustang was a 68 coupe that was metallic green with ivy gold vynl top and interior. My 68 had a straight 6 200ci with a single barrel carb. The GT should be a little more fun.

My name is Garrett. This is my first Mustang and once this horrible WI weather clears I'll really be able to enjoy my car. Just picked my car up today, 2/23. I come from the German car scene so v8s (aside from e39 M5s and 5 series) are pretty new to me.

Just got my 2015 EcoBoost with factory installed stripes and.... license plate bracket (sigh). Anyway, i still love my 1st car. :ford:
Your car looks AWESOME! Love the silver on black treatment. Very classy. And don't sweat the license plate bracket/frame. I for one think it's good to have a little extra padding between my car and other cars.

John here....just sayin Hello!
The forth coming (2016 MY) purchase will be my first Mustang. I have owned and driven numerous cars and many Fords over the last 40 years. My favorite being a 1970 429 Cobra Torino that I bracket raced back in the late 80's to early 90's.
I'm looking forward to participating in the 6G forums as my "forum lurking" these past few weeks indicates to me that a lot of good info and experience is being openly shared here.

Hi, just joined after reading for a few months. Never owned a real mustang (my first car ever was a poc 1975 mustang II, tho it did have an anemic 5L V8). Planning on early retirement next year and as a present to myself will either get the GT350 or a 2016/2017 Mustang GT. Figure it's a win-win either way. Looking forward to learning more about these great cars.

Hi Rick,
Interesting reading your post as I just retired last Sept. I'm in the same boat as far as looking forward to a new 6G mustang.
Could go either way with regards to a GT or GT350 but my one big issue is the "car mod affliction" I suffer from. The local drag strip being less than 15 min away doesn't help either.
If I purchase the GT350 I probably wouldn't want to make a lot of changes to it like I would with the GT and wouldn't want to thrash it as much either. Ford has more or less done most of the mod work for you anyway.
The other thing with the GT350 is the higher monthly payments and insurance to think about.
Either way the mustang will be my fair weather car and not my daily driver. I just need to make room and clean out the other side of my garage as it will not be parked outside what so ever.

Cheers,
John

How's retirement? Everyone I talk to says it's the best thing they ever did - looking forward to it - 19 months and counting. Yeah this would also not be a daily driver for me. And since I'm not buying for another 1.5 years, the 2017 GT will be available so it will be interesting to see what that's like. Gotta all be good!

Rick

PS I also have this dream of restoring a 1968 mustang GT with a big block motor as a retirement project. I have no experience but should be fun

Retirement is great. Not getting up at 3:30am anymore is so nice.
I'm slowly getting to those projects that I put off for various reasons when I was working.
You know the one really good side affect of not dealing with the stress of the job is that I've lost 20-25 pounds....no gym membership (yet) or additional exercising per say. Gotta love that!
Back to cars.....
You know I'm not real keen on buying a re-designed car during it's initial year release, as tempting as it might be. Giving it a year or two gives the mfg time to sort out many potential issues or bugs that may arise. Plus like you we can sit back and use this forum to listen/learn a lot from the current year owners.
I also thought about getting a project car to work on but I've been down that road before plus I could see myself getting too involved time wise and ignoring other things and people (wife). So I came to the conclusion that just dinking around with the new stang and going to car meets and such which will involve her would be the better option.:D
