Hey Everyone! I'm Ken and new to the site. I've done the ol' switcharoo and left the GM world and ended up back in Ford Land. As I was looking at all the muscle cars I've owned throughout my life I realized I've owned more Mustangs than GM cars. I'm fresh out of being in the Utah Fast 15 with my Gen 5 Camaro SS that was built to about 800HP with a Whipple SC, Meth, and TONS of goodies and extras. The car was called the Reaper. Lots of fun! I'm recently divorced and my new GF loves Mustangs too and we decided to take the plunge and bought a 2020 GT Premium. Beautiful car. WE are however going to be changing the wheels to black and getting the car striped (Like a GT500) and the windows tinted. Probably start simple with a drop in filter, LTH's, and a tune. See how that goes for awhile. If I know me and I know me well, there's a very large rabbit hole ($$$) waiting for me to go down. And I'm sure I will. I love these cars and nothing beats American Muscle. I'll post a thread when I start doing mods if anyone is interested in seeing what I do and where I go with it. I'm excited to start a new project on a brand new platform for me. I still have my CTS-V and will probably never sell it. But I'm definitely intrigued with these new Mustangs. I'm looking forward to reading all of these great threads and the plethora of information here. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to share and benefit from the vast Mustang knowledge here.

Afternoon folks...

Jonny from Tulsa here.

With the kids grown up, I realized that I wasn't using the back seat that much. The current regulatory environment leads me to believe that we are due for another lost decade or two of terrible cars.

With the exception of the Charger (which I still love) I have driven pretty much exclusivly Fords since getting my 71 Mustang coupe in 94. At 50 it is time for me to get back to driving in stead of commuting and a GT should just about do the trick. The hardest part was convincing the wife that I "needed" a new car, but when I mentioned that I wanted a stick she kind of got a far-away look in her eye and mentioned that she thought she had driven her last stick 30 years ago.

With the above in mind, on 5/20 I ordered my new GT Premium as a replacement for my 14 Charger R/T. No build date or VIN yet, but I am not holding my breath. I have already gotten all the grease monkey stuff out of my system with the 71, so I just got it loaded so that I can have the car that I want on day one. WIll I do a bit at the margins? Probably, and that is where boards like this are worth their weight in gold as just about every question has been asked, answered, debated, and fought over for years.

I look forward to learning from you guys n gals...

Hey guys, just got my account activated today so I figured I’d post up here first. I live in Spanish Fort, AL just east of Mobile. Iā€˜ve been a Ford guy for a long time, but always had trucks. Started out with a ā€˜79 Bronco about 23 years ago, and since then I’ve had Expeditions, then F-150’s. My last pickup was a 2018 F-150 Lariat, every option you could get including the Power Stroke. Loved that truck and thought I’d keep it until it died, but with the current financial situation I decided it was time to make some lifestyle changes. With no more need to tow a boat, I decided to trade the truck in on a Mustang. Always wanted one, and planned to buy new but a pretty basic 2020 GT 6spd came up locally with only 5600 miles on it.

My guess is the previous owner maybe was or is a member here. Seems it was originally from Kansas City somewhere. The car is Iconic Silver, and the previous owner added a Borla Type-S cat back, Steeda springs, Steeda rear subframe bushing stiffeners, and the rear subframe braces. Also as a set of PP1 wheels and tires on spacers, super flush fitment. Anyways, I normally would never buy a modded car but with only 5600 miles on the clock and a mod list that I would have done anyways I figured what the heck. Got a good deal too, which I think is due to the 6spd. Nobody wants to shift these days, but since this a fun car for me I preferred the stick. I’ll see if I can get some pics of it below, all these forums are a bit different. Look forward to learning from y’all!

Hello all! I am black22gt, and as you may have guessed, just took delivery of my new black 2022 GT back on the first of June! This will be my second GT, as my old rio red 97 died many moons ago, but this one is my first manual mustang.

Having now driven it approximately 3600 miles since delivery, and driven through almost every state in the southern US, I have to say this one has blown my expectations away completely! I didn't expect to be as planted and as solid while cruising, yet be one downshift away from takeoff! And when you turn around to look at it after parking, it just looks so beautiful! Good job Ford!

Took delivery of my very first Mustang yesterday. 22 GT Premium PP1 with 10 Auto. Very excited and ready to get some mods going. Tint of course first, Ford Performance Hood struts ordering soon. Probably do black badges as I didn't get the black out package. I found this one on the lot, very fortunate :)...

Hello all, Stang Dude here. Got my first Mustang when I was sixteen. 1969 302 fastback and a monthlater a 1967 289 coupe. Of the two my dad and I decided to restore the coupe first fory mom. It had the upgraded interior, floor console, roof console, tilt-a-way steering wheel with tach inside the guage pack. We painted her Candy Apple Red. Swapped a couple engines in her (came with a 351W ) before settling on an original 289. It became mine and after a few years I sold it to go to college. 😄. Fast forward a million years and here I am again with a new '22 GT 10r80, PP1 401A with MR, AE, red interior and of course Race Red exterior plus the optional PP rims. Just completed my first mod. Ford Performance hood struts (which should have come with the car). I will be around on these forums. 10r80 is my next stop.

Hey all,
Name’s John
2020 GT premium M6 - purchased about a year ago.
I did all my pre-purchase research here and really appreciate the level of expertise and support put out there for all of us In the community.
Mods so far are a Livernois tune, MGW shifter, BMR rear cradle supports. Wheels and tires.
Springs, front chassis support and 4.56 gears are next.
Maybe it’s too much coffee this morning but I like it when others share their previous cars and how they got to the S550… sooo. Wanna hear It? Here it go!

Previous cars (of note) include
82 Camaro Z28. Don’t judge - it was the High school project with dad. Learned a lot about cars and how to wrench on them. The story ends like a lot of ā€˜teenager given a car that is a little more than they can handleā€˜ situations. It got totaled by a guard rail that jumped out and sideswiped it… at least how I remember it.

96 Lincoln Mark VIII. Ford just about got that car right but the transmission sucked and the tall rear end ratio hindered its performance. Sound familiar?

2004 GTO- M6 blue exterior with BLUE leather seats which were actually kinda cool and came off better than you’d think.
Pretty much stock. Wife hated the seats and at the time didn’t have a lot of time to enjoy it due to trying to get a career going so it had to go.
2007 Tundra - regular cab short bed 2wd
Magnuson Supercharger, IPT transmission valve body, a real limited slip differential. In a straight line it would surprise the $h1t out of you but once the road turned - well - it would surprise you as well but not in the same way. Still, this is the one I regret letting go.

2018 Fusion Sport - cool car but I just really wanted a V8 with a manual so here we are.

2019 Mustang GT Premium PP2
Hi all,
My name is Merle. I just picked up my 11th Mustang, first s550. It is a 2019 GT Premium with 401a, active exhaust and PP2. Drove the car home 450 from PA last Thursday, what a great first drive! I immediately left the car home for a week's vacation, so I've been considering mods. May do the Ford Performance Power Pack, but still reading that thread.

This car is quite an upgrade over my 11 GT with the Brembo package, which I sold to my brother. Previously owned a 79 Notch, 82 Notch 5.0, 2 83 Convertibles 5.0, 85 LX Conv 5.0 , 85 GT Conv, 86 LX Conv 5.0, 87 Notch 5.0, 94 GT, 95 Conv, 11 GT Premium.

Not really a fan of the over the top stripes, but they may grow on me. Previous owner clear wrapped the nose so they're staying for a while.
