That’s awesome! I had a 1987 Mustang GT in black. Great car in its day :)

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum, long time mustang lover. I am currently in charge of engineering for SBS Drivetec, the company that provides the exhaust actuator for S550 active exhausts as well as The upcoming S650.

If anyone has questions about active exhausts, or on a completely separate note, 10R transmissions, feel free to give me a shout.

Been here for a couple of years. Had an eco traded it for this animal.

He's currently having PPF put on the front, pillars, and rockers. Ceramic and tint.

At 500 miles can't wait to redline at 1000.1 miles.

Hello!

New Here!

I have owned 3 Mustangs:
Previous owner of a 1998 V6
Previous owner of a 2017 v6
Current owner of a 2021 Ecoboost

I loved my 98 Mustang. It was very slow but my first car and for that I loved it.

My 2017 Mustang was my first new car and still is, the best car I have ever owned. It was totaled when an off duty cop SMASHED into me on the highway, hitting me at over 70mph when traffic in front of us was stopped.l Thankfully I am alive and mostly well (now) That Mustang, she saved my life and I will forever miss her.

My 2021 has been an utter disaster and was also bought brand new. Currently has 6k miles. So far I am very unhappy.
Don't get me wrong, she is beautiful and I actually kinda like the engine (I was skeptical of the ecoboost).
The windshield wiper jet hoses came from the factory BROKEN - so when you would spray the fluid it was jut soak the engine bay. This was fixed under warranty.

More concerning though has been this transmission - the 10R80 has weird behavior. It has the most annoying and HARD downshifts. It honestly makes driving unpleasant. Often doesn't know what gear to be in. The problems have only gotten worse over time. I have an appointment to have it looked at - my local dealer is 20 transmissions behind- which makes me think these 10r80s are going to be a huge problem.

I keep my cars spotless, I often wash my car once a week and more if it rains :)

Greetings to all,

After a 98 V6, 98 Cobra, 2001 GT and 2005 GT, I got my self the last new manual 2021 GT Premium I could find in Houston, Texas.

This feels very different from my past Mustangs for sure. Much more refined, faster and with vastly better creature comforts. I do however miss the affordability, immediacy and simplicity of my 98 Cobra and I am a bit dismayed that I immediately have to deal with a freeway steering wheel shimmy before this new car is even broken in.

Overall I see this as one of the last chances to buy a new car of this type for the foreseeable future - I think many changes are coming our way fast in the automotive world.

I hope everyone is doing great,

Cheers!
