Hey all,

Brand new to the 6G forum and performance cars in general- just purchased a used 2018 GT and was wondering if someone can help answer a few questions!

The used GT has a JLT intake equipped and I recently found out it that this specific intake requires a tune. I am assuming the vehicle is tuned because of this. Since the car only has 3k miles I was hoping to keep the manufactures warranty.

Is there a simple way to check if it is tuned and if so then remove it and replace with the stock intake? If re flashed to stock with the original intake would Ford accept the warranty or know of prior tunes?

Hello! First time Mustang GT owner. The Performance Pack 2 rescued me back from the grips of an Audi S6. The Mustang is MUCH more exhilarating to drive.
I've had many Fords over my life, and in these times of uncertainty I decided to continue to buy American.
1996 Ford Ranger -> totaled. 1998 Crown Vic -> Drove until it seized. 1990 Ford Probe -> Sold after burned out clutch at 150k miles. 2016 Ford Explorer Platinum, which I grew to hate, when I got smoked by an economy car. Went Audi S6, but the constant worry about someone fucking up nearly a $90k car had me too stressed out to enjoy it.
But a Ford? Great parts availability, reasonable prices, great performance and upgrade-ability. I think I've found my locomotion carriage home. Just send it!
2019 Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack 2 = awesome. Blowing people out of the water bone stock! But I added an MGW X-spec short shifter, and now its drives like a ballistic missile.

Hey Guys,

I've been on these forums before but it was with a 2016 EcoBoost Premium Mustang that I thought I was going to purchase after it's lease ran out. I stumbled upon this used 2018 GT that had one single owner that only had 7,000 miles on it before trading it in for another vehicle. MSRP was around $42k for this car in 2018. It has the 301A package with the Performance Pack 1 and a 6 Speed Manual Transmission. The car is an absolute blast and it was sold to me at barely over $30,000. I had to go for it and I'm so very glad I did!

Hello all! My first Mustang was a 2003 DSG Mach 1. After selling it a few years ago to lighten the load of buying a house I set out on a mission to buy an S550 mustang. Well, today was that day. I bought a babied 2018 Mustang GT Premium PP1.

New here and just wanted to introduce myself. Name is Mike and I am in Wichita Ks. Here is a pic of my 18 GT PP1 car. It has had a few things done to it, but there will be more in the future for sure. Looking to ProCharge next. I hope to be an asset to this community.

Hi everyone,
So I have been a long time guest on this forum for a few years but finally bought a 2019 GT with the PP2 package. This is my first Mustang and I normally was more of a Camaro guy until the S550 came out. I have owned import cars before this with a couple of Hyundai Veloster Turbos (while most people don' care for these hatchbacks, my first one was awesome) before and a 2017 Subaru WRX being the most recent one, so this is a big change for me. While looking at new cars this was a contender with the Kia Stinger GT, Genesis G70, 2018 or 2020 Camaro SS, and some used performance cars. In the end this won out and I couldn't be happier, and I hope for many great memories and this car and am glad to be a member of this forum!

(Please excuse the poor quality photo, this was late at night when it came off the trailer, I will take some better pictures later once it cleaned up properly)

Hello all,
Pat here from the D... (Detroit area)
Looking to get into a Mustang to modify and have fun, so I thought I join the group, ask some questions and cause some trouble along the way.
My fun car right now is a Superformance Cobra replica. I built the 520 cube (that's 8.5L for your metric types) 385 series big block for it and it gets me into trouble pretty easily.

Hope to learn a lot and get another troublemaker for the garage...

Hey Yo!! My name is Adam and I've been a mustang guy as long as I can remember. except 1998-2004.. not sure what happened in those years lol. I've owned an 08, 14, and finally a 15 to keep for better or worse. I joined because I have put some miles on my 15, 115,000 to be exact and I recently have had an engine issue. Hoping to get some opinions on that and also about installing a supercharger at some point. Looking forward to hearing from some fellow mustang owners.

Hi. JohnM here from New Jersey. I've previously owned two Mustangs. #1 was my first car, a `68 289. #2 was a 4th Gen GT convertible.

I've joined to help me research the purchase of #3, which probably will be a 5.0 GT. So I'll mostly sit back and learn about S550's.

Hey all. I'm Lynn. I currently have a 13 GT Brembo package that has been my baby. I didn't have much interest in the S550 until the PP2 came out, now that's all I can think about. I've been lurking here for some time learning what I can and thanks to what I have learned here, I may soon be getting a new PP1 or PP2, so I thought it was time to join the site.
I'm a police officer; retired from one department, and currently working at another. I retired from the training unit in the first Dept., and one of my certifications was a driving instructor. Now I'm far from an expert, and I'll admit I probably don't know what I'm talking about, but I do love to drive, and I love driving performance cars even more.
My first car was a 1970 Dodge Challenger 340, 4bbl, 4 speed. I loved that car. After a few trucks, I got a 1985 Z28 305 TPI with an auto. It was fun but I needed a truck. After a few more trucks and my current F250 that is my daily driver, I finally managed to get a car just for fun, and I chose my current Mustang. It's been a great ride, but not perfect. The S550 Mustang PP1 or PP2 with Magnaride seem to address the few Issues I have with the 2013.
Anyway, I'm a white Anglo-Saxon male, conservative/libertarian gun owning Christian, but I'm not here to talk about any of that stuff. I'm here to talk about Mustangs and everything associated with them and maybe other cars too, and that's it. I don't tweeter, or faceplant, and don't ask me to like you if I don't know you. I love everyone, and other than a few individuals I hate no one. I'm also not very computer smart (old guy that was told not to touch the computer when I was young), but if my avatar shows up, that's about as accurate a picture and attitude of me as I can get.
Hope ya'll are as glad to have me as I am to be here.
I'll shut up now.

Howdy,

My name is Glenn and I live in Oklahoma. I just picked up a brand new 2019 GT PP1 in Magnetic with the 6 speed manual. Wow is all I can say. This is my 7th V-8 powered Mustang (4 Fox bodies, 1 SN-95 and 1 S-197 previously) and this one beats all the others, hands down. Very happy 51 year old, lol.
