Hello, all

Hello. My name is Sam. I'm 33 and live in Fort Collins, Colorado.
I've always been into Mustangs, and the 1965-1968 Mustang coupe was the first car I could actually identify as a child. My first car was a late-1965 Mustang coupe, with the 200hp 289 engine and "green dot" automatic. Unfortunately, I knew nothing of cars at the time, the car stopped starting in park or neutral, so my dumb butt sold it. That was 16 years ago, so the only pictures I have are ACTUAL photos, but I will get them scanned and uploaded at some point.
So, aside from looking for another 1965-1966 Mustang coupe to restore, I've been very excited about the new Mustang, and that brought me here. I really liked the retro Mustangs of recent, and I almost signed up for a 2011 because I liked the 2010 refresh, and then they added the 5.0 engine. I'm glad I waited, because I'm absolutely in love with the 2015 Mustang. I really like the styling, and the IRS really interests me.
Anyway, nice to be here, shout out to any Colorado folks. I'm seeing some beautiful cars here, and to the young lady with the black 2005 convertible and horse, you, your car, and horse, are all gorgeous.

Thanks for the warm welcome and compliments! Compared to other mustang forums, I like this one the best because of how fast the most recent mustang news gets posted and discussed. There is so much information and many of the members are extremely knowledgeable. I look forward to being a member here for a long time and can't wait for the thread where we all get to post pics of our brand new s550's! :amen:

Hi All,

I've been lurking for a while. I've been contemplating the 2015 Mustang for over two years.

I've been driving minivans and SUVs for the last 25 years. I'm 54 now, the kids are out of college, and I'm looking forward to having something a lot more fun to drive. The most fun cars that I've had were a 1973 Road Runner and a two seat 1986 CRX Si.

Other than the use Taurus that I bought for my son I've never owned a Ford. I spent a lot of time looking at used 996s and 896s but the long sorted history of motor problems, RMS, ISB, D-chunk,... make acquiring an older Porsche a risky proposition.

Rented a V-6 Camaro for about a month, the ride was nice but the visibility out front and back was unnerving, not an option.

The S550 looks like a really good option. I'm really hoping they got the handling and feel down. Can't wait to hear some reviews and I'd love to give an EB and GT a test drive (like everyone else). Overall the S550 looks like it should have great handling, more HP, IRS, even decent gas mileage.

Given my generation a GT seems like the obvious choice but oddly I'm also interested in respectable MPGs. My wife's Accord is light and handles nice and has about half the HP of a EB S550.

Can't wait for September!

Hello Tricia.

I would like to have an update. But here in Edmonton Alberta, I can't find one dealer who knows how to preorder a Mustang. I did visit Kenwood Ford, Ford Andrews and Waterloo Ford. Nothing. I showed them the order list I did get from here including the prices. They got nothing. I did get at Andrews the 4 page booklet. That's it! :-(
Hey Papaya,

I received your PM. Please check your inbox! =)

Thanks Tricia,

I've seen you're from Ford, and I would like to know if you are aware of the Mustangs that would be selling outside US...as you know I'm from Mexico City.

My specific question is, if you know about the LEs that Ford Motor Company has allocated to Mexico within all the country.... I know for some dealers here that our country would be receiving just 50 LEs units....I just want to know if you know something about it...and this brings me to another question...when does these "Mexican" LEs will come? will be arriving just at the same time than in US? or will be arriving afterwards?

Thank you

Hello sanluis09,

Your dealer will only have access to the allocation details. This info is up to the dealer’s discretion on whether they’ll make it public or not.

For further assistance on order status or inquiries of the 2015 in your region please contact Ford Mexico at 01-800-719-8466 (toll free) or +52 55 58 997594 (int).

They’ll be in the best position to assist. :)

You’re welcome maybe_maybe_bby ! :ford:

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum (but I've learned a lot! Thanks guys!) and will be ordering a 2015 sometime in the near future. I'm looking forward to it - I've never owned one, though I've driven a 2014 V6, which was my gateway drug to this car. I've never owned a performance car at all, in fact - in graduate school, it simply wasn't an option, but now I'm employed, so...

I’m excited to see the Mustang family grow. :headbang:

I just wanted to give a heads up to those that may not know this bit of info. Please PM the dealer code and order number and I’ll be happy to provide the status on your order.

I’ll be here if you need me.

Make it a great week peoples!

I recently ordered a 2015 5.0 vert in guard to add to my stable...so excited!
Good color choice going with Guard (I ordered a Guard Coupe) just some FYI the convertible order bank is not open yet and will not be open till closer to the Job 2 build date. Just letting you know in case your dealer is yanking your chain.. Likely they are holding your order until the bank opens but just looking out for a fellow enthusiast.

So, how much do you think membership of this forum will explode once the S550 gets formally released. I suppose it's inevitable that we'll all become the forum 'founders'.

It should be fun to watch. I've never been part of an early adopter crowd before. Good times.

As for the colors, the Forza thread is killing me. So many fantastic variations once you add in stripes.

Hello!

My name is Taylor, I'm 21, and I am obsessed with mustangs! I got my first mustang when I was 16 and I still drive it every day. It is a black 2005 GT Vert with 65,000 miles and she is my baby. I grew up working in my dad's body shop and that is where I developed my love for mustangs and ford trucks. :ford: I really wanted an '11-'14 model for the coyote, but I was in college and money was tight. Now that I make a decent salary, I decided its time to purchase my new favorite car! I love the s550 platform and I can't wait to own the 50th anniversary model year of this amazing automotive legacy! I recently ordered a 2015 5.0 vert in guard to add to my stable...so excited! Here are some pics of my current ride...

Explode possibly, I think it's also likely we could just see a steady increase. And being a forum "founder" is pretty cool as most of the time we are the most enthusiastic. I've only been part of a new forum one other time and that was when I created this username in high school in a Final Fantasy forum. Either way this forum is older than you think, and we aren't what I would call founders, but we are the first of the frequent flyers club lol

As for me, I haven't' officially posted in this thread so here goes.

I'm Justin and will be 28 in a couple weeks. I'm currently enlisted in the air force, been in for 8.5 yrs. This will be my first Mustang and 3rd Ford. I first started liking Mustangs because of my Dad, he's had several. I don't remember the earlier years but when I was really little he had a yellow one and that's about all I remember in regards to that. While I was still young, his first brand new car was a 90 or 91 fox body 5.0, he owned it for 10+ years and regrets selling it to this day. Just happens to be that this Mustang will be my very first brand new car as well :) So looking forward to it. Would have gotten an 2013 or 14, had they not announced a new model for another couple years. Alas, my order is in my sig :):headbonk:

Greetings Everyone,

Name here is Brad and I'm in Southern California. So glad I have found this forum to spend the time while my order placed on August 6th gets put together. Truly excited to get this vehicle. I have not had a new vehicle in twelve years along with having driven a truck for the past 22, which was necessary for work. Now I don't need a truck and look forward to satisfying that performance lust that has been brewing over the last year or so.

The big thing that helped me pull the reins on this purchase....Mustang has been around since 1964, and so have I. 50 years old this month! Nice to share some heritage I guess.

Good luck to all of us in enjoying this new generation of Mustang!!!!

Hi all,
Been lurking here for 3 months enjoying reading all the info. I have never belonged to a forum before. I live in central PA and I am 57. I have owned 26 Ford cars and trucks including 4 Mustangs. :ford: I currently have a 2011 GT Vert in Race Red that I love. Impatiently waiting for when I can order a 2015 Gt Vert in CO. Looks like it may be next spring now. Keep the great news coming!

Hello everyone. David from Pensacola Florida here. My first Mustang was a 2005 Windveil Blue V6 Premium. Loved that color, 40th B'day present to myself. I currently drive a Black 2012 V6 Coupe. Lot's of fun to drive but time to step it up. My 50th B'day present to myself is a 2015 Ruby Red GT Premium, 401A Equipment Group, Premium Trim, GT Performance Pack with Manual. A local dealer already had it on order, I gave him a grand down and signed a purchase agreement. I'm hoping that the car being dealer stock will help me get it earlier.:clap2:
